So we share lots of similarities. I have a 22 plate crayon 718 gt4 and a macan T … the T has the GTS suspension and thus the handling on it is flat and precise for a big old girl. I love how it doesn’t roll around like glc or a q5. You don’t have the straight line speed but boy you have the fun in the corners and can carry speed. If it’s a 60mph back lane… you can do 60mph and loves it. It’s all about damping and handling, not always about the size of the engine for the straight line. A T car is all the fun without the power.. plus a nicely spec T is 67k now a same spec macan S is probably 75k. They might be 500 quid different base, but the s comes with nothing.. plus they sell 14 macan base to one T and thus they are well over list ;)

Good honest review 👏 I've just taken delivery of a T model. Love it to bits ! It's the main family car, so so you rightly point out you just fall into an easy drive mode......it has the push when you need it and the spec is what I wanted from the car.

@@MrHCars I've had 7 mini in 20 years, so it's a treat to self, a bit of an indulgence given the wider global issues we all face but its my realistically a last hurrah to my petrol engined community before I retire in 5 years time and buy an electric mini ! For now I have carpe diem myself, siezed the day. Life is sometimes just too short!
I can see why people buy the ‘base’ Macan. You get the badge, the nice interior and a practical daily driver. I think if you want to exploit the sportier side of the Macan then you need the S or GTS, but then the price quickly climbs.... so for a lot of people the base ticks most boxes. For me personally I think I would want the V6 to make it feel more premium feeling but it’s all personal preference.

Overpriced mommy suv
Not of you buy it a few years older, which makes it only a few grand over other luxury suvs. Don't need all that power to get around town and on the highway. 256 hp turbo plenty to pass cars and do the stoplight thing. I wonder what an urban driver does with an S or a GTS... except know they can air it out without getting more than one or two genuine opportunities to actually do it.
