That is one of the interesting things that this Russian town has all sorts of entertainment venues whereas in the U.K. people are complaining about 'new builds' having no amenities whatsoever.
The zoning in Russia is pretty cool. You can live in an apartment building and in your direct neighborhood (radius of 200m) you will probably have a pharmacy, a bank, a small shop and a café. The umbrella term is "new urbanism" and the idea is to live, work, shop, and play during your free time in one central location. It's promoted as safer, more climate friendly, etc. That said, the one you are featuring in this video seems to have many more trees and the ones in or near the city where I live are urban. In theory, these neighborhoods are very attractive. In practicality, there are many life nuances. If there is good mass transit and/or you have a nice automobile, then it is ethereal. Thanks for your feedback. I think it will become better as it grows and more development is made there. The high speed train will take people to Moscow in 40 minutes.
@@SamsRussianAdventures This is a very smart development if the high-speed rail/mass transit connection happens. A lot of people don't realize, outside of Russia, at least, that Moscow is the largest city in Europe and the bulk of the Russian population -- roughly 80 percent or so -- lives West of the Ural Mountains. So, the Russian Federation also has larger cities in European Russia like St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Perm, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, etc. If a development like Dobrograd is successful, then more can be planned, and with proper connectivity and accessibility, this can relieve city centers of overpopulation, at least in theory, and spread the population and wealth out a bit more evenly. Moscow is not only Europe's largest city, but it is a primate city, and if you take in the greater Moscow metropolitan statistical area, it is also a metacity (more than 20 million). Any development that could give you quick access to a city of this size, yet still give you safe and clean living, and potentially take a bit of pressure off a city of such size, should become successful. The advantage the Russian Federation has here is plenty of available land in which to develop and grow. Good arable land with lots of trees and water access, as well. That mass transit connection is key. This is the case with any country in the developing and developed world. Sitting in traffic for hours upon hours is counterproductive no matter where you live. At around 10:35 in your video kind of made it. I'm beginning to think that one of the most, if not the most, important factors is the people (friendly, conservative lifestyle yet outgoing with like-minded people, etc.). It's almost impossible to make friends where I currently live. It's almost as if "they" try to close down the places where maybe friends can be made. It gets me thinking that it's essential to visit the places first before actually planning to move somewhere specific. It'd be nice to drink a few beers and struggle with the language "barrier" with some of the folks that have moved into the new town you present here. And golf 😄 Thanks again for your awesome video!
This video just popped up so I thought I'd watch. Fascinating to learn about the prosperity and friendliness of Russia. I wish you good health and prosperity.
Great video, thank you for this, I like the new houses and the location seems very nice. Love to see Russia and how these people live. Your GF is very Pretty.
Ill bet there are some kind of factories or plants are being built somewhere close or maybe military bases. Otherwise it makes no sense to build an empty town like that in the middle of nowhere. Very interesting. ( Yep I just googled it, they are building production factories all around and called it a Special Economic Zone)
Not in the middle of nowhere and yes there are factories. My cousin and his wife live there, but they are IT. He heads an AI department for SBER Bank. This is not a factory salary neighborhood . Basically an adoption of "The Villages" from Florida.
@@victoriadedicova Well people make ok money in factories nowadays.. My friend is a welder that fixes all kind of factory equipment based out of St Petersburg but he travels allover and makes $2.5k/m.. he told me a lot of stories of how to make money in Russia nowadays :) Another guy i know works on an oil rig and makes $3k/m... You can basically multiply those numbers by 4 to compare it to US salaries. I would imagine people working in brand new weapon manufacturing factories are getting fairly paid too.
I looked at how much those townhouses were. Very reasonable. Around $125,000 USD and around $200,000 USD for the biggest one with a large backyard. It's the new American Dream. Imagine if they started a community like this that was for English speaking western migrants at these prices. I think it would be very successful.
This is more of the Russia I want to see instead of the stereotypical Concrete Jungle with huge bloc apartments. This looks very reminiscent of American suburbs. Nice big homes, lots of green space and natural landscapes

So interesting I can just feel and sense and as you said "Nobody would steal that little girls bike in the driveway in the open" BUT in places like Australia/New Zealand/Canada/USA/United Kingdom I bets its gone if not "now" in a day or 2. Just a minor comment but that alone says a ton about places and the people around those places.
What a beautiful estate. We would certainly love to live there. Having the infrastructure in place is so much better. Choices of houses helps too. If only we were younger.
I think that the area looks wonderful.. Yes, it's a bit artificial, but not over the top.. Are there outdoor restaurants to enjoy lunch, etc??? Wonder what the price of a house it there?

Great video, thank you. I will definitely visit here when I come to Russia.
Thank you! Definitely visit before moving! I agree with you.
This video just popped up so I thought I'd watch. Fascinating to learn about the prosperity and friendliness of Russia.
I wish you good health and prosperity.
Thanks ❣️
You're welcome 😊
Ludmilla and her daughter?? More like Ludmilla and her sister!🥰
She’s 14!!!!
@@SamsRussianAdventuresI understood the compliment to Ludmilla.

Thanks for this tour of Dobrograd! It was my first one.
heard of this place a while back, I was thinking of moving there ) still am I suppose )
Wow i love it😍
Wow ! ዶbrograd nice cool city 👍
It really is!
Great video, thank you for this, I like the new houses and the location seems very nice. Love to see Russia and how these people live. Your GF is very Pretty.
Excellent video Sam, really interesting and impressive. Many thanks
Yes, as I said in the video.
Thank you so much Sam for showing us a beautiful house beautiful area Please show us more
What an amazing master planned community
It would cost way to much in canada for that kind of developement
It will be interesting to learn the prices
I'm looking at Florida wow so beautiful
It’s very relaxing here
Well done Sam
You look very calm and happy - I wonder why :-)
I looked at how much those townhouses were. Very reasonable. Around $125,000 USD and around $200,000 USD for the biggest one with a large backyard. It's the new American Dream. Imagine if they started a community like this that was for English speaking western migrants at these prices. I think it would be very successful.
A lot of work went into this place. This is a beautiful place! Can you just visit there? Very nice!
Yes, many people just visit there for recreational reasons
This is more of the Russia I want to see instead of the stereotypical Concrete Jungle with huge bloc apartments. This looks very reminiscent of American suburbs. Nice big homes, lots of green space and natural landscapes
Thanks. I try and show bits of everything
The town looks so nice green and beautiful. Looks like a safe place also
Yes it is very green and safe.
I always enjoy seeing your videos 👍👍
Glad you like them 👍
I gave you your 1000th thumbs up
Thank you 🙏
Great attitude. 👌
Thank you 🙏
So interesting I can just feel and sense and as you said "Nobody would steal that little girls bike in the driveway in the open" BUT in places like Australia/New Zealand/Canada/USA/United Kingdom I bets its gone if not "now" in a day or 2. Just a minor comment but that alone says a ton about places and the people around those places.
Yes! It’s safe here
Need a surfing park! With wave machines!
They are constructing an aqua park!
Again Sam, again!😄This video was sooo funny Thanks Sam! The trunks, your lady friends, Then you lost your card again! That CPR sign was so hilarious!
What a beautiful estate. We would certainly love to live there. Having the infrastructure in place is so much better. Choices of houses helps too. If only we were younger.
Sam you should grab hold of a mobility scooter and have a scoot around a russian accessible area
Hahaha I was thinking the same!!!
Most of the time when you help people they do stab you in the back. Not all the time but most of the time.
I think it’s their way to make sure they don’t need to return a favour!
I think that the area looks wonderful.. Yes, it's a bit artificial, but not over the top.. Are there outdoor restaurants to enjoy lunch, etc??? Wonder what the price of a house it there?
Yes! There is so much more here. I will go back again and film some more.
Thank you for the information... Not a bad option.. Especially, since I'm getting close to retirement.. Don't need to find work and just relax in retirement.. I think you indicated 1 cent property tax..?? Is this true? Is it a government incentive for people to move there?
Not bad.. And, in the West we have an annual property tax to pay for the house.. Here the property tax is based on the value of the house..
Thank you for the information. Russia looks beautiful
The fear of crossing bridges is called gephyrophobia.
It seems there are fewer and fewer bridges in Russia every day, especially around Kursk.
Interesting! The Greeks, it seems, have a name for just about everything!

This is a very beautiful place. It's a bit crammed, but would be great to visit, go to concerts, etc. Nice that they have shuttles, too.
It's amazing that wealthy people in Russia make parks and beautiful spaces for the people in the country. Here in the US, they just keep buying crap for themselves and start wars with any money they get their hands on, even if borrowed.
If people work for the betterment of all, we ALL have a far better and more peaceful society, and we advance science and humanity as well.
Putin is a great leader for the Russian people and it shows. Russia is looking great these days.
There are many other parts to the town which I didn’t have time to film. I’ll go back again.
What an amazing town. I look forward to your return.
Not gonna lie, these houses, townhomes and apartments all look like they’re modern Silicon Valley constructions haha
It’s a nice modern community

hi Sam it would be great if you could make a video about Elektrostal. I have been there a number of times years ago.
I saw that Scottish guy in Moscow filmed there. Check out his channel and say hello from me.
I like the town, love how they are putting the roads, that is more US like.
That is a nice town. It's interesting how there is so much there and their plans for the future. I would love to see inside.
