As an Australian, this is horrific and embarrassing. The memes will never end though so I suppose that's fun.

Your opinions about Raygun are totally spot on. I agree. I felt a bit sorry for her as a person at the beginning but like you mentioned she shouldn't have been up there on stage in the first place and she even mentioned herself she probably wouldn't win against all those other talented breakdancers. For how was her performance even seen as breakdancing is a head shaker. I'm not a breakdancer but what I see on the TV showing even kids on stage is by far better than that! She comes across like she thinks she's awesome. Her showing off herself while she's walking out on stage arms out nodding her head and tapping her Olympic logo on her disgrace of an outfit too. She's said before she's the best breakdancer in Australia which is now an embarrassment for Australia! I live in Australia and it's hard to believe how she was even capable of even going to the Olympics to try to win for our country. Absolutely heaps of other Australian breakdancers no doubt worked extremely hard to get to the Olympics and didn't make their way into it because somehow a complete joke of a Raygun breakdancing moves got chosen instead. The people who actually won medals at the Olympics have been over shadowed because of her. It's quite sad. Absolutely years of practice to get into the Olympics with whatever sports they do and it wasn't even noticed because of her! All the attention she's been getting and she doesn't seem that offended at all. She's shown her face on TV and out in the public eye. Something seems like she had it planned. She'd be getting money by going on TV. Her still believing she's a great breakdancer is unbelievable.

There needs to be an inquiry into the selection process

I just searched for footage of other Australian breakdancers and found plenty far better than RayGun.
But none that stood out. The problem might be that others better than RayGun had far more self awareness and didn't put themselves forward, not wanting to embarrass themselves against supervisor opposition.
Where as RayGun gave zero fk's.

G'day guys. I dont know if this is relevant. But here in Australia. Womens Australian Rules Football has exploded in the last 5 years. The captains of the local teams are seriously revered by males and females alike. Female athletes have flocked to the game from every other sport. The sport offers a real community and future to the best female athletes without a doubt. I'm certain many femsle sports in Australia will have a steep drop off in participation rates as the WAFL becomes what every young female athlete dreams of. Thete is something amazing happening in womens sport here. So sudden was its impact. That the Federal government in what seemed like one season built a womens change room for every single sports ground in Australia. As there should be. AFL is overwhelmingly the goal of young female indigenous athletes today. But yeah. RAYGUN is delusional as a person. She should have been raising someone up as the shining light of her dancing community. Not shading them. Which is a critism she must carry with her. I cant be angry though. It was hilairious. I cant tell you what cracked me up most/favourite part was. Cause they kept getting crazier.

Break dancing is not an Olympic sport and should never have been included
She got herself a free trip to Paris

Yes her performance was mediocre. What upsets me more is her disrespectful yawn to Syssy when she performed. I think that's one of the reasons it got taken down.
