    i pray that in the very near future, in my lifetime, that my motherland will be finally connected through.boring-machines made tunnels, bridges, from luzon, visayas, mindanao and to the far distant Palawann, it may be impossible but with political will from our politicians who have "malasakit" like mr. ramon ang, this dreams will happen....in that manner, we may become one not only with the internet but as one nation through bridges, one people. in spirit and soul and with God. love from 12 million overseas filipino workers.

      I grew up during the Marcos Sr. regime as well, and I remember the hardships Filipinos faced back then. There was a clear lack of infrastructure, particularly in essential services like power distribution, which made everyday life challenging for many. Corruption and injustice were also widespread, affecting even the most basic government services. While some people have different perspectives, my experience during that time reminds me that we need accountability and genuine progress to prevent those same struggles from happening again. It’s about learning from the past and focusing on real improvements for everyone’s future.

      I get where you’re coming from, and it’s frustrating when we hear about massive projects where funds seem to disappear, leaving us with subpar results. Corruption is a huge issue, especially when public money that’s meant for development ends up benefiting a few individuals instead of the nation as a whole.
      That said, it’s crucial to keep the conversation focused on how we, as citizens, can push for transparency and accountability. Public funds should always be tracked, and those responsible for misusing them should face the consequences. It’s not just about pointing fingers-it’s about demanding better systems that prevent this from happening in the first place.
      What do you think are some concrete steps we can take to combat corruption in big projects like these? How can we encourage more transparency and get the public more involved in holding our leaders accountable?
      Let’s keep this discussion going and explore some solutions!

    Build Build Build..ehh Baha Baha Baha.. Basura Basura Basura

    • @McCoolsheet

      Haha, I love the humor! "Build, Build, Build" does sound like it has turned into "Baha, Baha, Baha" and "Basura, Basura, Basura" with all the flooding and waste we've been seeing. It’s a real concern when projects that are supposed to enhance our infrastructure instead lead to problems like poor drainage and environmental issues.
      This highlights a critical need for better planning and execution in public works. It's not just about constructing buildings and roads but ensuring that these projects are sustainable and truly beneficial to the community.
      What do you think are some of the key improvements that need to be made in the implementation of infrastructure projects? How can we ensure that future initiatives actually address the issues we're facing instead of exacerbating them?
      Let’s hear your thoughts!

      @@melvindevilleres6332 ahha baha baha sinong nagtatapon sa estero mga canal at dagat... Nililinis tatapunan ulit.. basura ng manila bay,, linis tapon ulit... Build build ng skyway para di abot ng baha.. dumaan oa hindi?

    • @McCoolsheet
      @McCoolsheet  2 месяца назад

      That’s a valid point, but it’s important to recognize that canal infrastructure and skyways serve very different purposes in addressing urban issues. While building a skyway can help alleviate traffic congestion, it doesn’t directly tackle the problem of garbage being thrown into canals, which contributes significantly to flooding.
      Effective management of canal systems is crucial for proper drainage and flood prevention. Improving canal infrastructure, such as cleaning and maintaining them, is essential for managing water flow during heavy rains. We need a holistic approach that addresses both traffic and drainage issues to effectively reduce flooding and improve overall urban living conditions. Each infrastructure project should be considered for its specific role in the broader context of city planning and development.
