hey i just gotta say i used to be just like you i had no friends no common interest etc. im now in college or highschool at new big school and i finally found people who i get along with. ive now learned a lot about making friends the past year. i used to be very closeted off from ppl and not open because i had lost hope honestly. but this year once i began being genuinely interested in others and talking more, making plans with them, thats when the shift happened and im now finally making friends. i used to believe i would never be able to but i did it so i hope things go well for u too
honestly i feel like its kind of the education system's fault sometimes, they pressure you to spend time with people you might not even like or make you feel like theres nobody that connects with you, but for me one thing that helped is that what u have in common is complaining about school and another thing was having friends you met elsewhere that actually share your interests (internet, clubs, childhood friends etc)

It's bad for them, their relationship, and on you. You should let them know what you're boundaries are and that they need to figure their shit out! DRAMA: Okay, so basically, I have this friend (I’ve had since 6th grade) who gets super upset when you talk to someone she used to have a crush on (just crushes, no talking stage at all). But when I developed a crush on this guy, she would constantly call him ugly and annoying. However, I found out a few days later that she started liking him. A few days after I found out, I was talking about the situation to my other friends, and someone snitched. She texted me saying, “I don’t want a boy to come between us” and “Don’t like him like that,” and a bunch of other stuff. But I didn’t care, so I told her that, She then said that she was lying because she didn’t want me to be mad (I was a tiny bit), and we left it at that. Later, I found out they were talking, and I did some thinking. She's done this to me with every crush I’ve had since 6th grade (4 years). Now I like this new guy, but she’s liked him in the past. Should I tell her, or should I not, or should I drop her?
(how do you still talk to her!??!?) if u really like this guy and want to be something more, I think what u should do is ~not tell her~ . she will just come in between you both like in the past but if u wanna prove a point about how bad she is ~you should tell her about him~ (this is only when u don't like him a lot and want drama)

I just had a long chat with an online Fortnite friend through DM’s. He told me a lot of advice on how to make a friend bc I used to complain to him how he was the only one who talked to me. He lives far away so is tryna help me out from far away. I told him thank you for this because I genuinely had no one to talk to. So keep this as a reminder to just look out for people and talk to them even if you have never met them. I felt so much better after chatting with him. So being a good person really isn’t hard guys.

But since I left high school and went to university (which is three hours away from my hometown) I’ve been alone. I have two Highschool friends who are in uni with me but we are in completely different majors. I still hang out with them for dinner and walks if we are not busy. But mostly I’ve been alone, I have no friends who shares classes with me. I do my work all on my own and I feel it’s too late to have a friend or create friendships since everybody just made friends since first year and stuck together. Lately the loneliness is taking a toll on me, my grades are dogshit and I feel more sad than ever because friends will help each other out and I have no one to reach out to help me. I’m so close to dropping out and it’s the last thing I want to do. In the end it’s just fate and luck if you find a friend or not. i switched schools a lot and i had one best friend then we switched schools and life went on. then in middle school the kids i chilled with never liked me so i floated around a lot (thats how it went) and then in hs the kids who didn't like me but pretended to be my friend respected me a little more but still never wanted to build that frienship. so i took what i could get and it was minimal. the best people were those that i met through classes and we chatted and weren't too close of friends but were close enough to learn more about each other than the friends i thought i had. then college hit.... there were a great group i met but we barely talk now. everyones caught up in their careers.
I’ve been trying hard to be friendlier to everyone and start more conversations recently and it’s helped sooooo much. I probably have 2x as many friends as I did this time last year while still keeping the old ones ❤

DRAMA (sorry def longer than a sentence): i was at a tailgate with some of my friends, we were drinking, playing pong, corn hole ya know college things and then i see my RA walking towards me he doesn’t even say hi before he starts making out with me tongue down my throat. i immediately pulled away and he yells “what the f bella?!” he made out with me three more times at the tailgate (each time I had to pull away), I had to take care of him for the rest of the night (he started drinking at 6am & was blacked out for 12+ hours), plus he was on duty that night. so this happened back in October and he has a gf now (he has apologized to me a ton, don't worry!) it’s still so awkward between us because i see him almost everyday.
As a 15 year old you are SO RIGHT about the internet thing, even when I was younger it was much easier, however I have made genuine connections through the internet, I even adopted a cat from one of them lol you kinda gotta just let it happen (ik that’s terrible advice but I fr don’t know where I found these people, I just kinda did)

Ok imma spill.. ik no one will read all this but writing this kinda helps me deal with it 😭 In my country there’s two schools: Primary and High school, Primary goes for 7 years and high school goes for 6… I’ve just come from a school with 350 kids (everyone knows each other) and our whole grade has known each other for AT LEAST 7 years.. now I get to go to this amazing high school.. but the high school I’ve gone to is a private with a primary school connected to it. This means that most of my grade of 168 kids know each other as they went to the primary school altogether.. BUT ME? I went with a bunchhhh of boys (none of my friends went to my school) .. so basically I know no one at this giant private school where everyone already knows eachother.. and I’m in friend groups and stuff but.. I just can’t really connect with anyone.. and I guess that’s just where the primary to high school thing kind of annoys me because in primary school you get to year 6 and EVERYONE KNOWS EACH OTHER!! And it’s at that point that everything is also super harmonious and there’s no drama and now in yr 7 there’s WAY too much friend drama!
I never had a friend group, I had individual people that I hung out with (most of them are friends from childhood) but they’re not friends with each other so we never hang out all together unless it was school related (as we used to all go to the same school). Now that I’ve graduated (in 2022) & moved out of my home state, I have no friends, a few people I hang out with but I wouldn’t call them friends yet - we just sit together at church or I see people at worship night. 🤷🏽♀️
*DRAMA* : I have a nineteen yr old friend who is friends with benefits with like a 30+ yr old guy... um, i mean, I trust her and I don't think she's getting manipulated but still... xd BTW Ben take your own advice: don't stress too much, life will bring you what you need at the right time, go to events/sign up at clubs/go to activities where u might find nice people or someone w common interests, and don't be scared to tell your friends how you really feel!! ("hey dude, it's been so long, let's do something together"). They'll appreciate your honesty and wanting to reach out, it's really all that matters :) And a situation is awkward only if YOU think or feel that it is, it's all in your head. You're a very funny and likeable person, don't be afraid to go up to someone and start talking (literally I go to someone and after a short introduction I ask them what their fav shows/movies are, it gives so much to talk about). And remember, it doesn't hurt to try, trying you'll only get either nothing or benefits. Good luck on your quest, you got this ;))

DRAMA: This drama happened half a year ago, and I've been trying to get you to read it!! It started the week before my school dance (We're in middle school.) In class, one of my classmates (lets call her Spam,) joked about bringing a pregnancy test for two of my classmates, who (supposedly) are dating (Lets call them Mo and Po.). A week goes by. So we planned to apologise to them the next Monday, but we didn't see Mo and Po that day. Then, we didn't see them for months with no explanation. But, she came back this year. but the high school I’ve gone to is a private with a primary school connected to it. This means that most of my grade of 168 kids know each other as they went to the primary school altogether.. BUT ME? I went with a bunchhhh of boys (none of my friends went to my school) ..
so basically I know no one at this giant private school where everyone already knows eachother.. and I’m in friend groups and stuff but.. I just can’t really connect with anyone.. and I guess that’s just where the primary to high school thing kind of annoys me because in primary school you get to year 6 and EVERYONE KNOWS EACH OTHER!! And it’s at that point that everything is also super harmonious and there’s no drama and now in yr 7 there’s WAY too much friend drama!

I never had a friend group, I had individual people that I hung out with (most of them are friends from childhood) but they’re not friends with each other so we never hang out all together unless it was school related (as we used to all go to the same school). Now that I’ve graduated (in 2022) & moved out of my home state, I have no friends, a few people I hang out with but I wouldn’t call them friends yet - we just sit together at church or I see people at worship night. 🤷🏽♀️

BTW Ben take your own advice: don't stress too much, life will bring you what you need at the right time, go to events/sign up at clubs/go to activities where u might find nice people or someone w common interests, and don't be scared to tell your friends how you really feel!! ("hey dude, it's been so long, let's do something together"). They'll appreciate your honesty and wanting to reach out, it's really all that matters :) And a situation is awkward only if YOU think or feel that it is, it's all in your head.
You're a very funny and likeable person, don't be afraid to go up to someone and start talking (literally I go to someone and after a short introduction I ask them what their fav shows/movies are, it gives so much to talk about). And remember, it doesn't hurt to try, trying you'll only get either nothing or benefits.

The pandemic started a revolution of more isolation then ever. I was 19 when it started and now I’m 23 and I feel crucial years of my social growth were stunted. I’m finally starting to feel like I’m back in the world again but I only have a few friends, everyone lives in different states or countries,etc. I just downloaded bumble BFF cus honestly apparently that’s the way people meet now but ahhhhhhhhhhh. I think work and school are the places where people can make friends in real life the easiest
And hobbies. I’ve met people of all ages from acting classes and other random hobbies and it’s helped me grow a lot plus it’s fun
My only problem is my parents constantly telling me I don’t need friends and I’m better off alone… why the fuck are they like this?

DRAMA: This drama happened half a year ago, and I've been trying to get you to read it!! It started the week before my school dance (We're in middle school.) In class, one of my classmates (lets call her Spam,) joked about bringing a pregnancy test for two of my classmates, who (supposedly) are dating (Lets call them Mo and Po.). A week goes by. Spam bought the pregnancy test, and I was walking with Spam at the disco to give that pregnancy test to Mo and Po. (Mo is a girl,) But then, Mo started to cry, snatched it out of Spam's hands and ran away with Po somewhere. We thought she felt sick, or she was embarrassed. So we planned to apologise to them the next Monday, but we didn't see Mo and Po that day. Then, we didn't see them for months with no explanation. But, she came back this year. HELP WHAT DO I ASK MO AND PO AT SCHOOL??
