@@retired42002vz Dang Imma full year late to this but actually Jason Beghe (Hank Voight’s actor) was in a car accident during the year of ‘99 and had to be intubated. He kept pulling the tube out and it damaged his vocal chords. He’s said so himself in an interview that it was how he got the gravelly voice.

this is what i love about the chicago series all 3 shows operate in harmony as one cohesive universe
in other shows you sometimes get a cross over where 2 shows intertwine but it always feels too forced and usually has a predictable plot line (show x hates show y but they all learn to apreciate each other in the end)
chicago though it does it right fire shows upto a bomb threat and pd happens to be there its natural they be there its not drawn attention to and its a natural fit
i can imagine a more lengthy plot taking place where say theres a arsonist on the loose and each show shows you the plot unfold from both sides
My favourite is the three parters where they bring in Chicago Med as well

yeah i don't think they trained first responders to do that but if it's a matter to save lives they do it when it's necessary
@@hassansalat9907 Cops have to do it all the time especially if they're in a one person car and in cities that don't have car radios but handi talkies such as New York City and Miami along with fire department rescue squads when the team is suiting up for special duties such as blackwater diving in transit.

I live here in Chicago and that was a Blue Line stop. The truth is there ain't no Randolph station for the Blue Line. In fact, there ain't no Randolph station anywhere here in Chicago for CTA. LOL 😆🤣
Looks like they filmed it at Logan Square and removed some of the station signage (since they were calling it Randolph). You can also partially make out Milwaukee on one of the overhead signs on the mezzanine.
I know it's a TV show but I was like don't dive on the guy no one would ever do that.

That wasn't Randolph Street Station. Randolph/Wabash isn't even on the blue line. And plus, it is elevated, not underground.
