I loved the October format! Hour long videos are great, but when everyone is doing them, it's a lot to watch. Sometimes, I just have 15-20 minutes to watch, and your videos were perfect! I also want to say that I think you do a great job selecting fabrics for your projects. Especially the Nora pieces! 🧵🧵🧵
Thank you so much! Part of the reason I want to start all those Miras is to see if my fabric visions will work out. 😂 And I do love being able to catch a quick video here and there too.
Thanks for enhancing my October with your bite size stitching blogs. Great fun to watch, with lots of ideas for next year thrown in. I'm with you on the joy of stitching owls. I finished Cranky Owl in September and Owl Forest's "100 Owls" earlier this year and I'm always on the look out for more. You can never have too many owls :-)
From a fellow software dev I've loved the little scrum style videos ☺ And honestly out of anyone I follow I feel like you can handle 100 starts in a year! You're a quick stitcher and always surprise with loads of finishes. Looking forward to seeing your Nov plans come to fruition!
Thank you so much! I need to be aware of how many giant projects I’m starting because lots of my finishes are smaller, but I think I’m going to go for it this year and deal with the aftermath in 2025+
I’ve been watching you, Jen, since you’re very first video and admire how far you’ve come with the whole thing. I’ve enjoyed all your videos but have loved this month’s Halloween edition!
I would love a Christmas vlog like the Halloween one. However that’s a lot more starts to get going before the end of the year. I don’t know how you get done as much as you do, especially with 3 young children! Amazing!
It would be 19 new starts over 2 months and I just did more than that in October alone. 26 starts all together in October if you count the ones I started and finished! 😬
I absolutely loved following along on your journey!!! It was always exciting to see what you worked on and what you were going to spin for the upcoming days!!! Happy Halloween to you and your family!!!
Congrats on 2k!!! You deserve it. October has been so fun to watch. I say do what makes you happy in December! If that's getting to 100 starts... do it! :). Have fun with it! Happy stitching!
I am sure you already know my vote for December Plans with the Vlog setting. It is a Big Yes for me. Your October Vlog was so awesome and I loved it. Congratulations on your 2,000 subscribers. Your awesome and your projects are all so different. I am going to work on Autumn Sampler today and I will be thinking of you because it is by the same artist and similar on the layout of it. Hi Bear going to miss you every day. He reminds me of my dog Lucy. Happy Stitching.
New viewer, loved all your Halloween stitching! Saw the night rider on the ad for your video which is why I started to watch as I also was doing this one. I finished mine but I only do one project at a time! If you can juggle all those WIPs and new starts, go for it 😂.
Look! On your fabric for Halloween Quaker, bottom right? No left. My right, your left - it looks like a ghost!! Great fabric choices on all the Nora patterns. And my answer to your final question? YESSSSS!!!! 100 Starts!! You’ve inspired me - even though it’s Halloween night and I feel like I’m too late, I’m dying to start two new witchy patterns. What the heck, why not? There’s no rules! I need to recount all my WIPS - I was trying to get to 51 for the year anyways... Thanks for all the fun this October - that was awesome!
No way! I’ve never seen that ghost before on my fabric but now it looks like an intentional watercolor painting! That’s crazy! 👻 And yeah, there are definitely no rules. Start all the things. Especially if you already have all the materials! (Which I do for all the Christmas projects I was already making a list of 🎅🏻) Thanks for being my stitchy friend! 💕
Congrats on 2k! 100 new starts - go for it girl! I have really enjoyed your Halloween challenge and have even thought if I could join you and do something similar next year. I would love to watch a 12 days of Christmas edition too! 'See' you soon and looking forward to seeing grumpy owls pal!
Oh Jen, what a great recap video! I loved your videos this month so much and am already looking forward to more! 😍 Congrats on reaching 2K - on Halloween!! 🥳🥳🥳 Yes, the 10th is correct 😬 And regarding your starts and WIPs - honestly, do what makes you happy! If starting makes you happy, do it. This hobby should be fun so take it as it works for you 😍 (and I’m not saying that just so you will do this format again in december 🤣)
I love a long form video, but if you enjoyed the vlog style and it works for your current daily life, it would be super fun to see some more of those. And I definitely think you should aim for 100 new starts this year!!!
Thanks! I’ll probably keep doing a little bit of both for now. And then when my youngest starts school next month, everything will be different so who knows. 😂
So great to see everything in one go, I forgotten about some of them! Love your plans for November and of course I’d love to see a Dec vlog. I’d be terrified to have so many starts because I’m a “one project at a time” stitcher but conversely, I’d love to see you starting new ones 😉. I’m starting 12 days of Xmas series by Cottage Garden Samplings in mid November, intending to stitch all 12 charts on one piece of fabric. I’ve planned this for last year but failed so am hoping this year I’ll do it.
I have LOVED watching your October vlogs and am excited to see how the November plans shake out. I think that is always how I feel about my plans too - seems like a lot but feels doable?!? And I am a hard YES on hitting 100 starts. Mostly because I have 100 starts planned for next year to celebrate my 50th birthday ;)
Thanks Erin! I’m so close to 100 it seems like it might be a mistake not to go for it. It’s very impressive that you’re planning 100 though, that’s a lot of work and a lot of will power to wait!
You've accomplished so much this month! I love all ur finishes! The fabrics you chose for all those miras and noras are perfect! Celtic winter will look amazing on the frost. I have plans to do seasonal stitching in 2025 w the Robin Pickens birds and a dimensions kit w the 4 seasons on it, so I like ur idea of working on the lavender and lace ladies in their season. I should do a decisions wheel, maybe that would help me follow thru w more of my ideas cuz right now what I'm doing just ain't workin' lolol- I tend to get hyperfocused on projects and ud think I'd get more finishes that way but I don't 😂 Can't wait to see what u start inNov! Ummm YES I love the blog style! And u know I'm here for all ur starts. ..y not make it 100?!?! Happy stitching! 🐈⬛🪡❤️
My one piece of advice for the wheel is you can always spin again! I never had to in October, but in the past I’ve spun the wheel and did not like what it chose. In that case, I just spun again because I’m not trying to force myself to work on something I definitely don’t want to, I’m just trying to bypass decision fatigue. ❤️
@jensfiberweb that's a great idea! Right now I only have 1 wip that I can think of that I'd groan if it was picked so I'll prob just leave it off if I decide to do a wheel. Idw2 ufo it I love the design but its such a slog to get any stitches into it! Prob cuz it's a full coverage and I did a top left start so it's all "boring" 939 and 823 for a loooooooong time 😂 one of these days ill pick it up again lolol
Love the vlog style but think you have to decide how you feel about having that many WIPs cause once you start them- they’re there and there’s always new patterns coming out
Maybe don’t watch my newest video! 🙃 😂 I’m totally fine with the number of wips I have. I will work on them when it makes me happy to do so, and they’ll get done when it’s the right time. ❤️
First time watching your channel, I really enjoyed it. Not to mention i 💕your doggo! I have never been a fan of Halloween until I started cross stitching. Could you tell me more about your wheel and organization? I am sure you have done this before but being that this is the first video I have watched. Thanks! Can’t wait for the next one. Awna
Welcome! For October, I had 31 different projects kitted and ready to go, so I put them all on a wheel and spun once a day to decide which one to work on. Moving forward, I think I’m going to put my monthly goals on a wheel so if there is a day that I can’t decide what to do, I’ll just spin so I don’t have to make any decisions. 😂 Then if I reach my goal, I can remove it as an option.
Great video! I would enjoy a December vlog style with the new starts. That's partly selfish on my part since I'm planning a lot of starts next year to celebrate my 60th birthday. Just hearing you say you have 80 some starts already makes me feel better about my plans. I don't think I'll have 60 new starts next year but you never know. Do what makes you happy and doesn't overwhelm you. Do you know how many Wips you have?
@@jensfiberweb I think I'm around 80 wips at the moment and quite possibly could end up over 100 at the end of next year depending on the number of starts I actually do and how many finishes I get.
Congrats on reaching 2K! Ahhhh northern IL, now I know why your weather is often similar to mine in Madison, WI! Maybe you can come up and join us for one of our In Person #24HOCS marathon weekends :)

This was such a fun stitchy October vlog!! I loved it! 🎃
Yes!! I would really enjoy watching another vlog style video each day in December!! The Halloween one in October was so much fun!
Thank you! It’s probably going to happen 😂
100% would love to see more videos in this format/series! They have been so much fun! Happy Halloween 🧡🎃🧡
Awesome, thank you! 👻 🎄 ❤️
Your October videos were super! I loved watching them! Thanks!🎃🍁🦇👻
Thanks for watching! 🥰 👻 🌙
I really enjoyed keeping up with all your stitching this month in this format!
Thanks for joining me!

Ooooh 100 Owls is just waiting for me to start it! 😂 I’m also considering starting a giant owl dimensions kit this month. 😬 🦉
Yes to a December start-a-thon! 😊
🎄
Yes! I have loved watching your blog style videos this month. I’d love to join in on a 12 days of Christmas blog!!
Congrats on 2K!!

I would definitely enjoy seeing a similar Christmas vlog like your Halloween ones! It’s so much fun.
Woohoo! 🎄
Finally caught up!!! Congrats and im so awed by how much you were able to finish 🎉
It was such a fun month! Thanks for joining me!
I’ve been watching you, Jen, since you’re very first video and admire how far you’ve come with the whole thing. I’ve enjoyed all your videos but have loved this month’s Halloween edition!

wow love all your colour fabric choicest for all your pieces. Especially your plans for your Nora Corbett: Fern Fairy and MIdnight's dream fairy.
Thanks! I’m so excited to get them started and see how my choices work out!
