One of the best features of modern day retro gaming is not having to manage memory cards. Very nice to see VM2 supporting per-game save support. I've been on the fence for purchasing one, but love my set of memcard pros. I think it's time to pick one of these up!
@@jongeo and just to be clear, it's had this feature for a while now. However, it was limited to GDEMU+openMenu (which is my favorite ODE solution stack anyway). But yeah dude, don’t sleep on it 😉
@@mistamontiel00 PS1/PS2 no longer requires xStation or OPL. It works on standard vanilla hardware. I understand your frustration, but 8BitMods makes quality products. I never once saw them claim their GC card did automatic game ID'ing without Swiss.
Did SA1 get overwritten cuz GAME.VMU? Sorry it's early development I are aware, so this is EVERYTHING FOR ME! Still awaiting for mine to embark to here it's label printed since August 9th EDIT: Ok in own directories fabulous!!
@@mistamontiel00 no. As stated in the video, the virtual VMU for Sonic Adventure (and all three games) is automatically created the first time when you launch the game. From then on, saves are written to that virtual VMU. I see your edit, so I assume the above was clear 🙂
Awesome work as always, Derek
This definitely changed my mind, I will definitely be pre-ordering for the next shipment
@@TheAmazingMoose-Man awesome 😎
Excellent feature. Can't wait for my VM2 to arrive.

Great news. This is perfect for my use case with MODE and original discs too
Ty, ur doing The Lord's work.
Very cool!!
It says it's sold out on their website. 😢
Hallelujah!
So the operation is 1 Game save = 1 VMU ?
Not n Game save = 1 VMU, as in original VMU?
@@carlosubilla2970 each game has its own dedicated virtual VMU.
it's crazy to think you recorded this way back in 1998 😉 or perhaps someone should replace the battery lol
@ haha. Battery works, but for this particular console, I just saved default date. I really only use it for testing purposes.

Suck on this 8bit! I know I have they trio all three but they never say your PS1+GameCube require mod which is booshit

@@moosetrack7 haha, some still do! Honestly, it's way bigger news for those with an ODE solution other than GDEMU+openMenu.
