I love how they still chose to love their daughter over their beliefs. They may still hope she may find a bf, but at the end of the day, they will always love and support her

Your coming out video was beautiful. I hope your parents will grow to understand and support you with time. I think they will when they finally see your true self.

her parent's faces, just calmly watching, smiling, listening and appreciating being let in, made me fucking cry. this is so bittersweet and nerve-wracking and heart-wrenching and beautiful.

At least her parents like accept her not abandon her . Even tho in the end her parents wish she can find a bf ( even tho it's not possible unless she is bisexual ) . It's still good for her

They were so nice about it and talked really carefully to not hurt her in anyway. The video was a beautiful idea and i hope one day they can also see their daughter happy with another woman. I believe in the end they will be happy if Wenwen is

Hi Meng! I shared yr vid with a young chinese man who is struggling to communicate with his family. He was deeply moved by your vid and has also shared it. His parents are very conservative and have said derogatory things abt LGBTQ people in the past. Your vid helped him create a different perspective. Thank you for posting!! Ps. Hope you're doing well!!

Good for her but by the end her parents showed how conservative Chinese parents are. Still it’s a moving video

I hope you don’t feel pressured to meet your parents hope and expectations. It’s hard and you’ll need to find support to go through.

    Wow another one :/
My Dad: 'As long as you are happy and healthy I will be happy as well.'
'Maybe someday you will find a fitting and loving boyfriend and I will be happy for you.' That was my Ma. And I was thinking it might be vise versa. Asian parents can be weird and hard.
You came out very professionally and passionately. Well done little one :)

great job! And u r very lucky to have such great parents. I’m preparing a coming out video for my parents who live in rural China and have no idea what is gay. I don’t event know where to start when talking to them about my identity. Would you mind giving me some advice.
