your players are slow because you set the game speed to slow.... meaning the game is slower

Ultimate difficulty seems all right because you got some pretty similar results to real life.
You should start a new series, you've already ruined it with simming and upgrading players
Play with a GK on the bench for the realism.I do that on my career modes just to keep it as realistic as possible.

Matt stop joking! This is FIFA not real life, Guendouzi is a player of projection and quality but not with this advantage of being the best player to aspire to something in the premier or in Europe. 144 million available for a better defense and midfield. Same with Lacazette of "85".

It's only the start of the career mode but if you are struggling with ultimate difficulty then against the top teams switch it to legendary and with other weaker clubs switch it back to ultimate difficulty.
Best quality series...begins it by manually upgrading players
MarkJWalker33 Right I am getting sick of people moaning about this.... what do you expect some of those players are severely underrated. Arsenal have a new look about them and it might be worth sticking with this team atleast until January.

I don't think you should use custom settings without having played the game much.. Play it with default settings and then play around with what you think needs a tweak

MGH, here in Portugal, a lot of clubs have similar badges like the SL Benfica, Sporting CP (where Bas Dost plays) and FC Porto. When Santa Clara was founded in Azores, SL Benfica made a partnership with them. That is why the badge is similar. But nowadays, they have tiny relations.
Finally a youtuber who has done realistic signing... Some you tubers have already spoilt The CM excitement even before it begins.... Keep this one as realistic as you can MGH... You don't really need to sign a big player who in real sense can not simply go to that club

Sorry not into this one. Not a fan of you upgrading your players just because they're not rated highly enough. I can sort of understand Guendouzi, but there was no justification for upping the others. I know it was just one upgrade for Lacazette, but really what has he done to prove that he's 85 rated? He was very inconsistent last season, and pretty poor at times. Essentially you are saying Lacazette is only one rating worse than Firmino, two ratings worse than Lukaku, and four worse than Aguero. Sounds a bit ridiculous right? I think 84 is still a bit too high for Lacazette's overall rating, should be nowhere higher than 83 in my opinion.

in my opinion you should play on normal game speed, the premier league games are really quick and the way you have it is too slow.

EA is stupid, how can you drop pace so much in one Season? Welbz is not 33, he is just as quick as last year and yet EA downgrades him and every Arsenal player

Try a 4-1-2-1-2 wide, and put Laca and Auba upfront, with Özil behind, ramsey as RM and Mkhi as LM, and Xhaka/Torreira as CDM.
Worked wonders for me, the narrow 4-1-2-1-2 is risky against tougher opposition as the wings get alot of space.
No 41212 would be best option for this Arsenal side, in real life also. Real Madrid was playing 1/2 of 16/17 season in that formation and dominated Europe. In Fifa it's great, you can dominate midfield easily.

Hey matt been a longtime fan here and tbh i've lost interest in recent years in your career mode. But i've got a suggestion since you're playing it in PC look at moddingway mods they give you real faces, updated boots more leagues to choose player from. IMO it'll vastly improve your experience and indirectly ours since no other fifa youtuber has done it. please consier this and guys if you agree like it so he can see it.
Santa Clara is a portugese teaM that sites in some islands far away from Portugal. And yes, it was the same badge due to their close relationship, however they changed it bwfore this season. Poor from EA to not catch that and change it. It happend months ago. fun little team, i think they are the western most team in Europe.
you should put the passing peed back up to normal. with it being lower it will put you at a disadvantage when trying to pass or make those through balls as if the ball does not move so fast, it will be easier to intercept for the cpu..
The cpu's is down to 45 too.
Slow mode and ultimate difficulty making your own players worse might be the reason why the gameplay looks so clunky and yeah just slow.
Just put the game speed back to normal, slow speed is soooo boring...

You should use the 4-2-2-2 with Xhaka and Torreira holding, Özil and Mkhitaryan at CAM, and Aubameyang and Lacazette at ST.
Sweet formation but he doesn't really have a good backup striker then (welbeck I suppose though idk if you'd call him good)

If it is like ultimate team, ultimate difficulty just brings the cpu ratings to 99

Santa Clara and Benfica do have similar badges because they had a different badge and then lost it or got it taken away, it was something like that and then a member of the club liked Benfica so they took inspiration from Benfica and then Santa Clara and Benfica made close connections and liked each others clubs. But in portrugal there are many clubs with similar badges to Porto, Benfica and sporting

Why don't you increase shot error from 50 to 51 or 52 of cpu which might be bit realistic. When they shoot doesn't mean it needs to be a goal. They are always on target which really frustrates me as well while playing. You know what I mean.
