That's very nice of you to go out and support the local markets❤
5:50 The little baskets are for steamed salted short mackerel (Pla Too in Thai). It's a traditionally a staple food in Thailand, fried and served with Namprik Kapi (shrimp paste chilli dip), jasmine rice and boiled vegetable. It smells a bit funky to me personally but if you like fish, please try it😁
10:37 Custard Apple or Sugar Apple (Noi Naa in Thai) It's a sweet, creamy and yummy seasonal fruit. If you like mangosteen, you will enjoy it. Just break it with your hands and enjoy the white meat, but be careful of the seeds. Don't eat the green outer shell.
Also, it's Gin Jay (vegetarian) Festival now, from Oct 2-11. Hope you guys have time to check out China Town coz it's a major event🍀

Thai people shop at this kind of wet market for daily cooking. Especially for fresh vegetables and fruits, it's so much cheaper than in supermarkets.
Ps. Try to ask for fish sauce with chillies (Nam-Pla pik) it will definitely improve the taste of everything.

The chicken feet soup thing is actually Bitter Melon Chicken Noodle, a popular type of chicken noodle soup. The taste is slightly sweet, soy sauce-y, and cinnamon-y-warm and comforting, yet somehow intense and flavorful because of all the spices and herbs. And don’t worry, the soup isn’t bitter at all! (But the bitter melon still is 😂) You can order it without the chicken feet. Definitely worth trying! There’s also a duck noodle soup that tastes pretty much the same and is equally delicious 🤤.

The dark green juice is fresh squeezed from a kind of leave. We called Yar Nang (ย่านาง). It’s for soup based and put a lot of veggies to boil them with this fresh juice. In fresh markets like this, you can ask the vendors what ingredients they use for the Thai dishes you want to make. They will recommend and choose for you, whether it's curry paste, vegetables, or meat. Just ask them. As for restaurants, you can tell the vendors what you don't want to add or what you want to add in particular, such as noodles without bean sprouts, animal organs, and adding extra meatballs.
