Your two modes for bujo themes are minimalist with black/grey/white/gold or bright fun colors and honestly I love it and am surprised we don't see more creators going outside of just one or the other. The ripped pages for the dutch doors look amazing.
This looks absolutely stunning. I love the almost minimalist drawings and colors. And big thank you for leaving the mistakes in. It shows that even a person who does this a longer time still messes up. I needed that as I often make a mistake, even when I use a pencil first
That is so beautifully effective and yet it looks achievable for us mere mortals...although the fact even you made mistakes means it could be deceptive!
However frustrating the process may have been, the finished product is certainly gorgeous! Also, it does wonders for my mental health to see a professional bullet journalist struggle with a calendar. Seeing you realize your mistake, cover it up, and move on with the setup was so much more inspiring than immediate perfection would have been.
Haha, keeping it real I love it! The black & gold theme is really beautiful (although I really like October as well). You have an interesting journal there, with this square shape - I feel it lends itself really well to the dutch doors you are doing. Thanks for the video!
I'm also doing a video every day in December! It's going to be my second year doing it and I'm super excited. I call it "vedid" or video every day in December, since it's not all vlogs and also doesn't really have to do with Christmas at all.
Nice, the black and gold never fails! 🤘 I picked up my washi tape shop (coffee) today, got a notification while at the post office that stationery pal (more coffee) arrives tomorrow, which I’ll collect next week.
The Ginkgo tree is one of my favourites!! I have a bunch of dry leaves in a folder for... idk... look at them, or decoration xD I love the black and gold color pallete.
Your October spreads and set up are stunning. I love the pastels and the way you have your dailies laid out. I would probably rank it in my top 10 favorite Jashii Corrin spreads. Black and gold are the colors for my alma mater, so I do like the color scheme of November as well.
Oh that's awesome! I'm glad you liked October so much 😄 I enjoyed using the tapes and a palette that was a bit outside of my usual 👌 Looking forward to less pens in my "currently using" pencil case for November though 😝💜
This set up is so beautiful, I love the black and gold, its so effective! I also saw Icy do the ripped and inked dutch door pages and I have been dying to try it ever since as well ❤
Gorgeous set up Jess, I adore how minimalist it is compared to october. And.. I have that washi!!! Might use it for November with Gold in my reading journal. ALthough I'll use a posca as my hands shake too much for paint.
Yay a video day in December🎉🎉 I’m super excited for your videos for vlogmas Also this high contrast style is amazing, I might do something similar for my 2024 yearly spreads since it’s ‘neutral’ and doesn’t require a 103772919 different markers to be kept out all year
🖤✨ I stand predisposed towards, a habit tracker and the bars rated for low and high meters. Furthermore the clandestine portico. The washi tape stands beautifully successive to the gold paint. Paradox I prefer indentation fringes over teared. You inspire my journaling and remarkable engagement. ✨🖤
Thanks! 😄💜 I do quite like “regular” tabs myself; certainly makes navigation easier, but I figured might as well get the most out of doing the “waterfall” ones while I’m in a Square journal 😝
I did a minimal black and gold art deco theme for october. Minimal because I used art deco washi set. I love art deco and tried to go all in once, my perfectionism was like "nah, you should give up and do a different theme." 😅 Ginkgo leaves are so beautiful, as is your spread. If you have the time to read about the history of ginkgo trees they are pretty cool.
Turned out beautiful! I did a gingko theme in January this year as well and also went with a high contrast, just works so well! Although I wish I had some golden details too 😉 and I think this was a great tutorial for how to fix mistakes 🙃
I'm over here trying to figure out how I want to use my bujo. I don't need detailed weekly plans as I work a regular schedule and use my google calendar for that, but I love having some sort of creative outlet that keeps me more organized.
Yeah it can be tricky to figure out where you want to store what information 🤔 for me it’s about eliminating double-ups, and making the spaces that things are stored in specific enough so that I always know where to look 😝
Is it just me or does it feel just too early to set-up Nov already ;w; Also, a coincidence that I to am going to use black and gold as my theme colors. The theme itself being based on a character from Arknights called Lee.. plus I kinda always wanted to try out a theme color set with black and gold. There's something simplistic and flashy about it +w+
Black and gold is a dang excellent colour palette, and it works so well for so many themes 😄💜 I’d be all about a full year of black and gold themes (if I didn’t know that I’d miss other colours too much and break away from it 😝)

Thanks Emery! 😄💜 I do very much flip-flop between the two styles, haha 😂
This looks absolutely stunning. I love the almost minimalist drawings and colors. And big thank you for leaving the mistakes in. It shows that even a person who does this a longer time still messes up. I needed that as I often make a mistake, even when I use a pencil first
All good! Figured it’s worthwhile showing the full process 😄💜
That is so beautifully effective and yet it looks achievable for us mere mortals...although the fact even you made mistakes means it could be deceptive!
The mistakes were mainly from me being a bigger muppet than usual 😝 with better pre-planning, they’re very avoidable!
The fix is really relatable, I don't know how many times I have glued a piece of paper over a header that didn't work out :D. Nicely done!
Thanks! 😄💜 a shame I had to do the same thing twice to learn my lesson 😂
Jess is using her nemesis: black paper. And conquered it well! 💜
Haha thanks Britta! 😄 Provided I don't have to write excessive amounts on it, it's a nice way to add contrast 😝👌
That ginko and dots design would make a lovely washi
I’d love one like that tbh 💜
However frustrating the process may have been, the finished product is certainly gorgeous! Also, it does wonders for my mental health to see a professional bullet journalist struggle with a calendar. Seeing you realize your mistake, cover it up, and move on with the setup was so much more inspiring than immediate perfection would have been.
Thanks! I’m glad there was value in keeping them in 💜 I don’t see much point in pretending to be perfect or what not 😝
This is stunning, Jess! I love the black and gold
Thanks! 😄 it’s a great colour combo 🥳
Wow! This is so beautiful ❤
Thanks! 😄💜
Black and gold is such an effective colour combination. I super love the gilded torn edges you did with the watercolours here.
Thanks! They’re so shiny ✨😭💜
I love this set up it's absolutely gorgeous
Thanks! 💜😄

That’s a good name for it 💪 I know some people call in “planmas” or other things 🤔 one day I might give it a different name for me 😝
Nice, the black and gold never fails! 🤘
I picked up my washi tape shop (coffee) today, got a notification while at the post office that stationery pal (more coffee) arrives tomorrow, which I’ll collect next week.
Aww yiss! 🥳
This turned out so nice, I love the black and gold together.
Thanks! 😄💜 it’s certainly a favourite colour combo for me 💪
This might be my favorite setup you’ve done. I love the waterfall Dutch doors , absolutely stunning 12:37
Aww thank-you! 😄💜
What beautiful spreads! Love the black, white and gold!
Thanks 😄💜 it’s a great combo!

Oh awesome that’s it’s a favourite of yours! 😄💜
Gorgeous spreads!! I love your use of gold paint and adding the black out paper! I have to try this!! Thank you Jess!!
Thanks Deanna! 😄💜

If I had a paint pen that matched the colour of gold I was using for those edges, I totally would have gone with that for the writing components 😝
@@JashiiCorrin those paints are chefs kiss though ❤️
I love the black/white contrast and the gold. Beautiful ginkgo leaves! I’m looking forward to vlogmas. It will be my first.
Oh awesome! 😄💜 it’s a lot of fun, even if it’s a bit of work, haha 😝

100% about not having to keep out a zillion markers for the year 😂
Beautiful! I was just thinking about starting to set my spreads for November. I like your high bar/low bar system and I want to incorporate it 💜
It’s proved useful so far! 😄💜
Thank you so much for sharing your mistakes, and fixes. This turned out SO beautiful!
All good! Figured it’s good to show the real process 😝

High contrast ginkgo is so dang excellent 👏 glad you enjoyed having the mistake fixes in there 😄💜
Beautiful!
Thanks! 😄💜
I didnt read the title and thought the start of the leaves were muahrooms and got so excited XD but this came out really zen
Haha 😂 mushrooms theme will happen one day! 💪
@@JashiiCorrin ahhh how exiting , love your content darling
Really beautiful. Love the color contrast. Where did you get the cutting mat? I don’t see it in the list of supplies.
That one was "given" to me by my Mum (I think I might have stolen it 😝) so I'm not too sure which one it is sorry!
Beautiful
Thanks! 😄💜
Wow, I love it ❤
Thanks! 😄💜

Its okay. Monday doesn't have a first day. We just imagined it.
I’ll just use it as an excuse to have a day off 😂
I will be using this kind of dutch doors for November. Im doing Japanese theme 🍙🍡 ⛩️🇯🇵🏯🍜🍱🈴
That’s an excellent theme 😄💜 aaaaand now I want sushi 😝
@@JashiiCorrin 😂
I cannot believe after watching this video I managed to make the exact same mistake of starting my calendar on the second not the first.
Twinning 😝 I feel your pain, haha 😅

I'm kinda surprised you don't have a gold gel pen.
Gel pens are my nemesis 😝 So I probably have one somewhere (strong maybe) but I tend to avoid them 😂
@JashiiCorrin understood. They have a tendency to dry up, so it's probably no good anyway.
