Jokes on me who thought “ha, this sounds nice and easy, maybe I could play the whole suite” after just listening to the prelude…… All joking aside I’m ecstatic to have discovered the piece! Thanks whoever who made this video scores for giving me a modicum of hope that one day I will play this…
Roger Marchese I love contempoary guitar music such as this. It lifts ones imagination to another level. Beautifully composed, beautifully played! Somewhat like Contemporary Creations for Spanish Guitar by Laurindo Almeida - ruclips.net/video/i62iZ2fwWO8/видео.html
Lovely but atypical of modern music.... lacking true musicality in the traditional sense..... no discernable melody or direction. It's almost like a flow of thoughts or atmosphere.....
This "music" reminded me of Andersen's fairytale "The King's New Dress". Maybe we won't hypocritically praise her, but frankly admit to each other that we have sad shit in front of us. To remove this diarrhea from the ears, everyone needs to go and play Moreno-Torroba for an hour or two. That's what I'm going to do now.
A monumental piece in classical guitar repertoire.
so true. how could a man versed in concerto and symphonic music write such a beautiful intimate piece?
@@michelduplessis7179how could he not, or were you being rhetorical
Very mysterious and elusive slow movements. The Prelude, Ballade, and Finale would make a good sub suite too.
0:00 1. Prelude, 1:25 2. Nocturne, 5:27 3. Ballad, 8:51 4. Reverie, 11:40 5. Final
Masterpiece!
Amazing!

It’s more than amazing
Lovely..
Final is great, but you have to stay awake to hear that 😉
Great music! Can you recommend other players/composers for guitar that have similar style?
Carlos Rivera: Whirler of the Dance, Manulyak: Etude "Repentance"
Toru Takemitsu guitar works
Frank Martin's 4 Pieces come to mind because of the fine sound, colors and sound palette Pierri achieves here that recalls Julian Bream's recording.
Also Drei Tentos by Henze
@@robertoalexandre4250 Thanks Roberto! I've heard and love "4 Pieces".
'Super serial music.'
Eric Cartman

Very reminiscent of Al Di Meola's style. Might be that Al Di was influenced by this :)
