"Resolve"
In order to protect his friend Takuya Yamamoto who's a bit frail, Takemichi challenges Kiyomasa to a fight. Despite being beaten to a pulp, Takemichi doesn't back down, which starts to make Kiyomasa panic. Then, the commander and vice commander of the Tokyo Manji Gang, Manjiro Sano, AKA Mikey, and Ken Ryuguji, AKA Draken show up.
Hina has more guts than anybody out there. I mean whose gf is so cool to go save their boy from a freaking gang leader.
Mikey is a great and heartbreaking character I hope you love him as much as most of the fandom does ✨

It has been mentioned in Twitter that Ken Wakui (the mangaka) has been part of a biker gang in early 2000s too, and that he wanted a manga about gangs, but he didn't know how gangs are now in this time, so he added the time travel bit into it. (Iirc, the name of the gang is Black Emperors)

Theyre not a yakuza but i get what you mean. Theyre a bosozoku (biker gang) and in the 70s to the early 2000s, some kids would join these gangs and either grow out of it or join the yakuza in the future.

Toman is a bosozoku aka a biker gang. Not every bosozoku becomes part of the Yakuza when the members become adults.

So I know these are middle schoolers, and Japanese delinquent gangs did exist, and in some cases many do start their careers in these gangs during middle school this type of intensity, violence and structure isn't common in Japan. Think of these guys as High Schoolers. In the live action film these characters are high schoolers rather than middle schoolers since that's a little more accurate. Also these guys are crime organizations like the Yakuza. These guys were simply delinquents. Still scary and would commit crimes but they would barely have their hands on any money or business in that way. These gangs were kids, lots of turf wars and yes sometimes people died. Some of these gangs could possibly turn into Yakuza later on but not in recent times
