Align = AL You can align anything with a relevant plain. Eg: walls/doors/square landing for stairs. You can use Tab to select between lines. You can change the ‘select by face/select centre/centre’ option in the options bar. You can lock alignments, sometimes useful - be careful tho - domino effect. Multiple alignment can be selected in the options bar. DL = Detail Line. Useful for quickly aligning something. 6:30 more in depth. Way to add alignment options/reference plane to families. Select element->edit family->Create (Panel)->Reference Plane->Draw Line->Load It into Project->(don’t need to save)->(override)->now you have that alignment option. You can change things eg “weak reference” also.
Thanks for the video Vanguard and thanks for this extremely helpful cheatsheet/video review Tori. For some reason; reading the keyboard shortcuts helps me to remeber them over just being told what they are. I appreciate both of you.
To my knowledge there is not. Every time I open Revit, I end up having to check this option. This goes for the copy multiple as well. I am sure there is something deep in the API or your personal INI file that would change this to be on by default but that is way above my head.
Thank you! This video tutorial is amazing! right to the point with some extra pro tips you can't find in other tutorials! way to go!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Really good video, I’m going to make some notes
Go for it!
One question comes to mind. Is there some way to set the multiple alignment option as the default rather than having to select it?

How about center of circle, how to align?
You would need to align to an edge. You could slice the circle somewhere and use that point.
