If your doing this you can also clean your sink and toilet with a 50/50 vinegar and Neutrogena oil free acne wash mix and it is much cleaner and safe for the environment and makes your house feel good to be in.
my roommate always opens the bathroom door after takein a shower or bath so she can use the mirror. this steams up the apartment. it sucks cause mid summer the ac struggles to barley cool the apt. i did the shaving cream on the mirror hack. it works great. now the door can stay shut till the bathroom fan removes all the steam.
I also used the plunger hack to. i added Lysol to the holder as well

Don't hang toothbrush out in bathroom, what you pass is particulate and will settle on your brush.

I kinda liked that one.
With layering half a paper towel, small plastic bag, pour in a little vinegar, small old piece of foil to wrap at the bottom, and a rubber band or lg twist tie, you can use way less vinegar, and get it to stay up vs the shower head rather than weighing it down. Rinse metals, dry all and place in cleaning cabinet for next time.

Don't use toothpaste to scrub your chrome in your bathroom. It is a fine grit product and will leave minute scratches that will fill up with grime. Great for rings on WAXED furniture.

Good hacks.......but I’m left wondering who all these people are who seem obsessed with attaching their toothbrushes to (probably germ encrusted) bathroom walls.
carolina...same people who would leave them in a cup on the counter, along with those of others.

Mine sit on a shelf in a box with toothbrush covers next to my toothpaste and floss lol
I wouldn't be able to put up or muchless use a ladder shelf in my bathroom to store anthing on, bc my crazy cat would think its for him to play on and he'd knock everything off of it. But its a pretty&a great decorative&storage idea, aslong as u dont have a curious crazy cat like mine!!

I do that about once a month just to keep my drains running freely. It works really well and there's no harmful chemicals to worry about.

Depends on how heavy the mineral build-up is. If it's still spraying sideways try again. Helps to scrub the holes with a nail brush or old toothbrush, too, sometimes the mineral deposits will soften enough to scrub off at least some, then the second soak will be more effective, let the vinegar get down to the rest.
Vinegar is Acetic Acid, what has blocked your showerhead is Calcium Carbonate an alkaline substance! Acid will dissolve alkaline, but it depends upon the strength of the acid and the thickness of the alkaline deposit! The stronger the acid, the quicker the process, but if the deposit is thick, then it will neutralise the acid and nothing further will happen! Then you will need a much more powerful acid, but the more powerful the acid, the greater the dangers of handling it will become!
Hydrochloric Acid is stronger than vinegar by far, but in concentrated strength is highly corrosive!
My suggestion would be to visit your pharmacist, who could perhaps supply you with a bottle of dilute HCl, which, if handle with care, would make short work of your carbonate problem and is certainly much more powerful than vinegar! Steep the shower head in the acid and watch for the fizzing bubbles! That means it's working!
HCl+Na2Co3=CO2(gas bubbles!)+NaCl (common salt,which dissolves and washes away!)+H2O (water)! That may not be chemically exact, but that's the basic principle!
I've watched many of these kinds of videos and I have to tell you this one is by far the best! So many cool ideas that I would never have thought of myself, and they're good ones too! I have subscribed :)

The spoon stuck to the toilet seat is pointelss. It will get covered in the same bacteria as on the seat.
Towel Bathmat warning: put a rubberized material under it to prevent it from slipping. (You did notice the bathmat slip in the demo, didn't you?)
exposing your toothbrush to the open air in your bathroom is very very unsanitary.....I keep my toothbrush wrapped up with a washcloth and away from the open air....when you flush the toilet tiny unseen particles of water rise into the air and can stay there for as long as 10 hours.....anything you put into your mouth should be protected from these bacteria that float ....you are unable to see them but you can imagine what kind of germs you will gather if you leave your toothbrush to collect this falling bacteria.....information from an in-service at the hospital........

Sweetheart are you aware of how many bacteria grow in a damp washcloth? If it bothers you do what I do and drop it into a freshly boiled kettle for a few minutes.
I'm 36 and I leave my toothbrush in the open air. I'm still alive and amazingly lucky to be, I guess.
That's kind of an unscientific way to explain it but yes, every time you flush the toilet tiny unseen bits of what's in there can fly out and up to about 10 feet away.
You do NOT want your toothbrush out there absorbing that. Nor do you want to wrap your toothbrush in anything wet to protect it. Your toothbrush needs to dry out between brushings, so if you put it in a drawer or cupboard, in a place where people don't need to touch it and move it around among other stuff to find what THEY need, it will stay clean enough until it needs to be replaced - 3 months.
Also putting the lid down before flushing helps and is just common courtesy. And for God's sake, WASH YOUR HANDS AFTER DOING ANYTHING IN THE BATHROOM!!

To unclog my bathroom sink I boil hot water pour down sink much safer then using any chemicals
To clean the shower head I just take a nail brush and scrub under the head while the water shoots out for about 15-20 seconds and BAM! I get the normal wide spray in just a few seconds.
I am defiantly doing the one to mount my Kindle on the wall (though not in the bathroom). I was looking into buying a wall mount online, but if THAT'S all you have to do, may as well save a bunch of money.

@@77777aol But you can use the holders that are made to be easy to remove. I have pix in lightweight frames that I want to hang...paint holders to coordinate your decor or same color as wall...no holes in wall.

DON'T keep your toothbrushes out in the open unless they're at least 6 feet from your toilet. Even with the lid down, e coli travels that far when you flush.
Watched all the way through in the hope of seeing a tip for the one thing that would be useful: getting rid of ingrained stains in the bath without hours and hours of hard scrubbing... maybe in the next video?
