I just found out I'm pregnant a few weeks ago, and I happened to have this song pop up in my playlist for the first time in a while. Safe to say I cried, lol. I have waited my whole entire life for this baby. If any of you pray, please pray with me that all goes well. This is one of the best covers I've ever heard of an already beautiful song. I noticed people comparing the songs. Well, first of all, despite both being the same song, they're not quite the 'same'. Both have their own magic, and both are beautiful. I would not compare. Thank you, Alejandro, for this beautiful cover.
My dad killed himself when I was 2 years old. (2002) and I found out when I was 12 (2012 and before that I was always told he died while working under a car, it slid off the ramp, and kill him). That's when people started telling me a lot of stories about him. One of them was that originally my mom was never going to tell him because she and him had broken up and she had moved away before she even started showing. After I was born a family friend sat down beside my mom and said, "Does Jeremy (my dad) have any boys?" (because he had 3 girls already) my mom replied, "No" the friend replied, "I bet he would want one." This convinced my mom to go and show me to my dad. Creed was my dads favorite band but the day my mom showed me to my dad, he later told her that this song came on the radio, and from then to now people say that it was his song to me.
The singer truly has a beautiful voice to show. I hate how most artist mess their true voices with modern tech. I love how this guy shows his true voice without any auto-tune or such. It revels the beauty that one can earn.
