    Your fish tanks are gorgeous - I can imagine how much work went into this. This channel has actually inspired me to take up aquascaping (fresh water for now, I'm a newbie). Thanks!

    Tank looks great - I love the clams! Regarding the sand cleaning - how much of it are you cleaning? Are you worried about the Sand-Sifting-Stars not having enough food as a result? I've yet to clean my 0.5" sand-bed...but I'm noticing some algae growth, and thinking my clean-up crew isn't quite doing it on their own.

      Do you have a Strawberry/Fighting Conch? They are some of the more effective sand bed cleaners. PS love your channel, found it through my love of reef tanks!

      Thanks Graham, yeah I'm super happy with the clams!
      I use a gravel vacuum wherever I can reach, without damaging the reef. So I’d say like 90% of it. I only have one sand sifting starfish in my tank, I’ve had it for over two years now. I think there still is enough food for it after I’m done cleaning the sand.
      Here you can see how I use my gravel vac: ruclips.net/video/LQBTZh5cqx8/видео.html. It takes out a lot of waste, but not all. Just make sure you go for short periods at a time.
      For your tank, I wouldn’t clean it all at once to start because that would be a big hit on your bio load and overall balance. But over the next few weeks/months just clean a small part of the sandbed and see how your tank reacts to it.

    Your not using a sump nor a protein skimmer ? Are you only filtering with rocks and sand ? I didnt know that was possible.

    Is one of the 3 tanks a 'higher par' tank? I read in the comments you are upgrading to Radions (good choice!), still the Clams in combination with the other corals are going to be a challenge par-wise, enough light for the clams (Acro-range and up) would be a certain bleaching of most of the corals, including that gorgeous Bugatti chalice.
    If one of the tanks were a high par tank you could easily keep the clams there.
    Beautiful tanks and setup, not to mention nice videography!

      Of course! It's from Aqua Medic, I believe I have the 0,2-1,5mm sand.

    Greetings, pleasant hobbies. Does the salt in the aquarium water evaporate or does only the water evaporate? Does the salt content change?

    • @DannysAquariums
      @DannysAquariums  8 месяцев назад +1

      Only the water evaporates, so you’ll need to add RO water for that. Otherwise the salt levels will rise. :)
