Looks like a good place to lose yrself in for an hour or two.and yes it reminds me of affllecks palace in manchester.only alot more spacious and bigger
I really wish Blackpool Transport had actually invested money in increasing the frequency and start/end times of their buses, as it strangles small businesses like this when the buses don't often run after 2200. They were having a laugh with that email they sent out not so long ago. Would love to see a film here, but it's hard to get back to Marton/Bispham when the film finishes.
Oh Jane, I've been wanting to go there since I saw your last video about a year ago. But my credit card is screaming nooooo! I would buy every dog in the place. Not to mention a whole load of other lovely things. But I must go. Thank you for telling me about this wonderful place to spend a few hours. Xxx
I love a good antique shop, especially looking for Doctor who memorabilia! Luke I do. Hope you go again for another tour around. Really enjoyed that. 👍😊
We enjoyed this vlog so much Jane. I have spent a lot of time and not an insignificant amount of money in the book corner and elsewhere. The way the cinema has been revived is a tribute to the owners. Wonderful work and attention to detail. We would love to watch a movie but there are no matinee performances sadly. Getting back home after an evening perormance would be impossible. Being vintage myself I fit right in toThe Regent [Kris agrees!] This wonderful emporium is a treasure that Blacpool can be proud of. and it is worth a visit again and again. On my last visit to the book corner I met two wonderful follow paleography enthusiasts and a good conversation ensued. So many pieces on offer in this amazing enterprise are conversation pieces! Thank you very much VFC for uploading. Team EryKris
Had a mooch around there last week. Never had a Sweep, though, but my brother did, and I had Sooty. So there you go, some useless info for you. I had a look around the ground floor books: well, woweee how does anyone find anything? Mind boggling. 🥴
I waited so long to go to the Regent for a look around as I've never been. So a few weeks ago we ventured out, we paid £ 4.10 in the car park opposite due to not being able to walk too far. We walked in and I needed the loo... The cafe was closed but a man said to go to the far corner and use the one that says staff... I thanked him... Then I opened the door! Oh dear what a mess... there was Sh1t all over the seat and wee drips ... I'm not joking I nearly threw up! So we had to leave ... £4.10 wasted.... I won't be doing that again 😒
The regent, great building, however the "antiques" shop is just full of old tat, house cleance junk, and is moe like an indoor car boot sale...at least they dont charge an admission..
That's rather harsh. Just even mooching around I spotted plenty of things which would definitely be considered antique. It's not primped and perfectly curated - but neither are the prices!
Sorry! I was trying to give you a feel for the place and the fact that it's worth visiting! If I'd done a slow look around we'd have been there all day.
Definitely something for everybody within these walls. Terrific collection in one place
Oh my goodness what a magical place ❤ cant wait to visit the next time I'm down in Blackpool ❤❤❤
That place has so much to see, I really wish we'd known about it when we were in Blackpool last year.
You'll know next time x
Hi jane cool store a bit like Affleck's in Manchester

Lovely vlog and place jane
I've explored the Regent a number of times when I've been over in Blackpool. Think its a great place to find that rare item youve been looking for.
Got to take a look at this place never been in yet
Fascinating place will be visiting again when i am down in April.
thanks Jane for another great video 🗼
Oh I saw this place last week on bargain hunt I wondered where about sin Blackpool it was. Might have a look on my next day trip to Blackpool x
Well now you know!
Thanks for the walk around, you would love bygone times at eccleston, chorley, same as this, very big an aladin's cave.😊
That's somewhere else on my list!
The Regent Antiques Centre was featured in a recent episode of BBC1's Bargain Hunt.
Thank you, just cought the last minute of that episode but unfortunately I can't find it on catch up
What a fascinating place. A real aladdins cave
So nice to see you on another video biker 🚴 Dave
You did make us laugh when you said it's a great place to get out of the rain- we found the Regent during storm Debi and did not leave empty handed 😂
Often go to the tea rooms. A nice cafe.

Do you guys have pop corn at the movies like we do in the U.S.? It's pretty much mandatory over here.
Yes we do
HI, THE REGENT has a punk rock section can you please take a video of it next time thank you, ......marius(punk rules).
There is another antique shop in st Anne's worth a visit
Yes I know the one you mean

I won't be doing that again 😒
Oh dear. What a shame that it put you off.
Open 7 days a week from 10am
I have been there, you always hope you might find an hidden gem, but unfortunately it is just full of old tatt and the cafe smells of old grease.
That's a bit harsh. There are loads of hidden gems in there every time you visit
@@visitfyldecoast well you know what they say, one man's tatt is another man's treasure 😁

@@visitfyldecoast my perception, the last time i visited, also when it appears on antiques roadtrip, they stuggled to find anything of value.
One man's treasure is another man's white elephant. Some old furniture perfect for upcycling and restoring.
Interesting video but your going to fast with the camera and it’s blurry
Sorry! I was trying to give you a feel for the place and the fact that it's worth visiting! If I'd done a slow look around we'd have been there all day.

I’ve been in there ..there’s some great stuff I sent hubby off to pub while I have a good toot round ....☺️
interesting video jane
