I haven’t heard of 100 Stars but looked for them online. Found them accessible in the USA! Gorgeous products! Happy to see you treated yourself to ready-to-wear as precious time can be spent on the Madison Fauve PJs!
Your Maison Fauve pajamas are going to be gorgeous. It’s so lovely that Molly wanted and immediately wore the bias cut skirt you made. The Kimono and trousers you bought are beautiful. I wore a shop bought border print top recently and realized it’s the LaBella Donna top pattern. I’ve got a French terry sweatshirt cut out, but, in typical Florida fashion, it’s warming up this week.😂 Happy sewing, Cara. xxx
Thanks for the trouser pocket hack! Love the Maison Fauve kit ❤ gorgeous. The ban roll hem is super easy and you can just reuse the ban roll indefinitely. 😊 Great video!
I agree, it’s hard to find really beautiful fabric like the outfit you bought. I’m glad you treated yourself. I enjoy when my daughter wants my makes 😊
Thanks for sharing Cara. I have the SOI Selena skirt which is bias cut but the toile fabric I used was so slippery I had no end of trouble cutting it out and sewing it. I think I’ll have another go with a viscose but I do need to make an adjustment to the pattern as the waist elastic (which fits me) was less than the circumference of the skirt which meant I stretched it out to fit it and then the skirt was far too big. I noticed that the elastic on your (Molly’s) skirt was quite wide which I think would be better. 💙🧶🌈🍓
Hi Jenny, I'm agree slippery fabric can be a devil! I hope you can get it to fit. The elastic is about 2" which sits really comfortably. I have folded it over again too which looks and feels nicer
Hi Cara, Just found you. Love your content. That viscose fabric for the PJs looks absolutely gorgeous. Regarding the Lizzy bias skirt pdf print I know from my own experience with a LoveNotions pattern that it is a layered pattern. You have to select the size and then you would get all the details, i.e. the seam line showing up. Amanda 🙋♀️👍
Thanks Amanda, I appreciate you reminding me of the layers, I completely forgot about that option! That'll definitely make it easier, lovely to hear from you
Lol I love the bias cut skirt, will have to check it out :) I'm just finishing off some shirts I'm making for my Little Man, then I've cut out a Saguaro Set and a toile for the Rika Pants, which I'm terrified to make & try to fit 😬 x
What a gorgeous pyjama pattern + fabric (I love the smell test - charming!). I don’t buy clothes either, but that set is stunning, and I’m sure it looks amazing on you!
Good to see you again! Oh how I love the pajama kit! Your purchased outfit is gorgeous! I loved the mint sweater they had on the display, too. Your daughter wanting your skirt is the ultimate compliment! I do hope the two of you enjoyed your time with family!
Love the look of the Bias Cut skirt, will go look at that pattern, thanlks. Adoire the outfit you bought too, sometimes you just have to get it when you see it!
Totally! I hardly ever buy clothes and I've always wanted one of these kimono style jackets, I'd not seen one in black before which makes it so versatile, I loved your bestie bags this week, I'm going to miss off the tabs too I think
@ Your going to look so swish in it😍 Thanks. Not doing the tabs seemed to make the whole make easier. I want to make more but how many bags does one lady need 🤣
So lovely to spend time with you Cara. You’re like one of my besties. Love what you make etc. I’m very much a beginner but am mastering a few top patterns I love. I’m off to finish one now 🤞
Oo lovely posh pjs for plymouth frocktails 😊. The fabric is divine! The kimono and trousers look lovely too. I need.ed to get a move on and make my fricktails dress some pjs and finish the soi bikini that's been a wip for too long 😂
Cara, love what you’re up to! I made some v cozy jammies for my last make of 2024 so I could lounge on New Years morning to watch the Tournament of Roses parade. It’s what old people do in the US who don’t party on NYE. I’m very tempted to try out the Lizzie skirt. I have 4 yards of black sand-washed cupro that would be lovely. At my tender age, I just can’t wear gathered skirts. Thanks for your work to keep us up with the trends!
Thanks for showing this. I made a pair of trousers I'd have loved MUCH more if they'd had pockets. I'm toilng another pattern now, and know I won't do that again in casual wear. And I will ALSO add pockets to any pj bottoms or long nightgowns I put together in the future! "SOO-PEER" ❤❤ That MF packaging is like a gift! Kelly
Thanks so much for bringing the skirt to my attention, I bought it too with great expectations. Can you tell me where you got your ban roll from please? Searches come up with waistband reinforcer - is that the same stuff?
@@sosewmad oh interesting, I might take a look. I have found a place near me who have it, if they allow me to collect, otherwise their postage is more than the product. I guess because they dont do small sales, appear to be trade suppliers of posh linings.
Love all your videos and makes, the skirt especially. I am falling out with a zip on the Tessa trousers from Tilly and the Buttons at the moment in corduroy. I don't know what's wrong with me as I've made the trousers twice before, Grrrrr! I only manage to make two garments (if I'm lucky) a month and I would like to know how many makes do you manage to make on average?
Hi, Tilly has a handy video on Instagram about inserting zips if that helps? It's hard to say how many things I make, it's how I keep my cruel brain busy, so sometimes it's lots others nothing at all
What fabric are the red Beths made from? Maybe I missed you mentioning it sorry. They're gorgeous. How snug are they on you? I made a pair in bengaline and they were too snug for my taste. Trying to decide between sizing up or a full bum adjustment....
Cara, you are a genius! Thank you so much for the pocket explanation! Will be trying that on my next pair for sure. Thank you!!! ❤
It's super simple, honestly took moments;
Love the skirt too!! Have always been intrigued by ban roll, looking forward to seeing how you get on with it! ❤
Mmm I've ordered it from Temu, who knows if I'll ever receive it!

Thank you, I'm so glad you've found the kimono etc too! Amazing products x
I had a voucher for christmas for Maison Fauve and wanted that jacquard fabric in red and it is really beautiful
It is absolutely stunning! Enjoy
Bankroll hems are magical.
I'm looking forward to trying it

Ah that typical Laura! I do find it funny when I buy something I can normally see what pattern it is! Have a lovely week

Thank you! I can't wait to use the ban rol stuff, looks genius!

I wish we could buy these fabrics 😅💗 my daughter never wants my items so this is high praise indeed xx
Great video xx
Thank you x

My advice is always just go for it! Better to make and learn than not all it 😀❤️ love the sound of your plans

That's very kind, what fabulous items are you sewing at the moment?
Good to see you again!

Yes thank you it's been a very special weekend, I treasure time like this, I hope you're keeping well?
I am going to try folding my fabric to make the bias skirt. I struggle cutting them out as it hangs off the table x
I found this technique pretty good, and I'm just using my dinning table to cut out.

That's so lovely Dianne, I really enjoy catching up with you weekly x
Love that skirt so nice!!! Now I need to buy some ban roll just watched her video made it look so easy!! Can’t find it anywhere tho!! X
Thank you, it's tricky to find! I've ordered an equivalent from Temu, hasn't arrived yet 😅
I have been meaning to make another pair of Beth pants and planned on adding a pocket so thank you for the extra motivation.
You're welcome, it's super simple to do, enjoy!

Kelly
Yay so glad it'll help you, perfect, and soopeer 😅💖
I would make the pjs as day wear gorgeous pattern. Would love to see how you attached the band hem. Love Molly liked the skirt.
Thanks Lorraine, when the ban rol substitute arrives I'll film how it works x
Try using the hemming band with you pj viscose, it really is brilliant. Angela
Yes that's a great idea, thank you!

Hi, I'm not sure if I'm honest, the version I've ordered is from temu as it was the most similar looking, it's not arrived yet so I can't comment

Ah yes it is a super stretchy bengaline, a great shape of trousers
✨🧵
💕💕
The interesting thing about those pjs is that they have what they call Italian pockets and a flat front. Just sayin
Yes that's true, amazing design
