My reccomendation: run in, take whatever you can take, and leave. I could also reccomend friends because they assist, but that's probably meaningless. Maybe get a gun.
I want to thank the person that yesterday ceased to chase me on Woods after shooting some 10 rounds in my general direction. I managed to get to the Outskirts exfil and FINALLY I delivered Introduction quest! Do I play this game not often? Yes. Do I suck at it? Also yes. Do I have good time while playing it?... Well, my heart is pumping, my breath is speed up and I'm giving a very deep sight of relief whenever I successfully exfil. So 10/10, will be still playing it!
Ill never forget that moment on reserve when you have to mark the fuel tanks: pure darkness of the night with rain and everything, i hear footsteps and hide against a wall before i see a 5 man juice squad run past me, one even touching me a little. Go questing at night kids, its an experience
If you are struggling with your scav runs (getting killed by PMCs, or teamkilled by other scars, or you can't find any loot because it was looted by other people) - do night raids. People either do not see you, or do not care about you, or, in the case of teamkills, people who scav at night probably aren't noobs and know how sacav karma work.
I ran in front of scav on scav violence to stop it, I could see they both didn’t know they were scavs. They both stopped shooting and went on their way, kind of one of the best things I’ve done in the game hahaha

Everyone's monitor has a built in nightvision setting, just bump the gamma if you're using NVIDIA through the control panel (1.2-1.4 depending on preference) I can't speak to AMD unfortunately but I would be surprised if you couldn't fiddle with settings.

Last wipe I ran into people running Altyns and Ryse-T helmets pretty often because people can see pretty well without NODs now, and even now during this wipe I'm running into more geared people and much higher level players at nighttime.
I was in Customs by the car extract at night in the bushes waiting for this 5 man to leave 2 story. As they began running down the stairs i here a trio coming out of three story. I lay down because I'm expecting these two teams to duke it out. No, they all ran right by each other through the bushes effectively switching buildings. Night raids are great!
Some of my most memorable fights happened at night. I love fighting in the dark with NODs. It can be like playing a 4D chess match sometimes. There was one raid where I took on a 4-stack on Shoreline between bus station and power station. The whole fight was an exhilarating blur of adrenaline fueled action that lasted for 15 minutes. I eventually killed them all and the rest of the raid was eerily silent. It was like even the AI decided to extract after hearing that mess. I don't blame everyone for getting out of there after well over 3000 rounds and 20-something grenades were exchanged. God that was such a fun fight, and very lucrative considering their gear and loot.
Being invisible at night is so true. i just did a woods night raid to got the therapist quest done and had 2 player scavs just walk over me laying prone in the grass
the first time i played this game years ago i did a customs raid at night a was scared so prone crawled about a little no joke had a scav right in front of me i was licking thier boot no joke
@@NovumSB no joke at all i died after 5 minutes stuck in the area not wanting to move i went in raid no weapon questing i went prone as i heard footsteps stayed still the scav walks in front of me stops and just stands there after 5 ish minutes i pull out my knife and try melee kill but get buckshot in the face instead

I feel this. I got the Checking pocket watch first try with a buddy going dorms and the watch in the same raid. We had another friend that hadn't done it yet that we wanted to get it done. We spent the next 3 days spamming customs praying we didn't get dumpstered on by god tier players.
No joke on the pocketwatch quest. I been having the exact same issue because I can't play fresh wipe but players are always there ready to blast noobs.
As long as no other pmc's have killed a cultist, and you can avoid the panic spray when one charges you. The cultist will just stab and poison you, then you can run to extract or take a augmentin and continue about your day. Also, if you picked bear the blue cloths you can buy early on blend at night real well and remind teammates not to shoot you during the day. Nothing says kill me teammate like wearing the starter usec or bear cloths.
the funniest moment in night raiding was me trying to get into old gas station and the other guy trying to get out of gas station we camped the gate for like 2 minutes until i just said duck it and went evac the long way
My 1st night raid. I tried the nvg set from lvl2 peacekeeper. No helmet, I thought itd be fine, just to see how it is. I spawn in Ruaf roadblock in woods, I run towards the med camp, I get headshot in the eyes within 45 seconds by a player. Not sure I like nighttime now
Damn didn’t know if this play style was picking up now, mike Myers on interchange during night was training for rats and sneaky breekiers streets is crazy
If there's one thing I learned from my first wipe, it's that extracts are gonna be rare. Honestly getting a PMC kill or two and dying isn't so bad because of the XP gains.
The fact that we're entering year 4 after Nikita said they were "90% done with the new less tedious questing system" without a new, less tedious questing system in sight is honestly just saddening. Nobody enjoys doing these quests barring a few of them like Shooter Born in Heaven, I really don't see how this isn't a priority. There's a ton of people outright refusing to play the game again because they don't want to do the same quests once again. They're doing the classic indie game dev problem of adding and adding without actually going back to finish things they started doing previously.
I've been stuck on "Checking" for a few days now, typed it in on RUclips and feel so much better that you had (to a lesser extent) the same problem as me. I'll try it at night then! Thanks. Edit: I have been trying for 4 hours now. On my 26th attempt. Still no success. Geared up duos sitting in dorms everytime, even after 15 minutes of hiding in bushes before going in

Yeah I waited 15 minutes for a Scav run only to be shot by a player scav like a minute after loading in.

why does the blue clothing hide u better than the green?
Blue blends into darkness better than green does. It blends much better than black does as well, black tends to silhouette someone pretty bad.
