Honestly the live action definitely made Usopp and Kaya an actual item. Like they were actually very cute and got some real dynamic. I loved the scene were both of them were talking about their respective crushes! I think generally in such regards the live action really did so well, giving us more specific moments for the straw hats to develop a dynamic. For example zoro and nami. I mean clearly nothing compares to the manga/anime and I wouldn’t call the live action an alternative but more of an addition to it in terms of consumption for the fans but I wished the manga/anime had shown us more scenes like that with Nami and Zoro. I generally think that their dynamic is kinda understated in the manga/anime even though they are the first two mates of Luffy!!!
I think he's perfect. The way he is drawn in the show makes him seem like he's an older character, but he's actually younger than the others. They made a good choice with him. He is a good actor, seems very sweet and he is wonderful in this role. I hope this will take him far in his career and that I get to see more of him in the future.
I like to think of the Live Action as an alternative universe to the main story. Where everyone is a bit different because alt verse shenanigans. Luffy is a bit omnipotent. Sanji is suave and not a perv. Zoro is less dumb and more mysterious. Nami is more buff and less sexual. And God Usopp has that natural rizz.

Haha I think Jacob channels the side of usopp that is the entertainer, that is the rizz king, that is this extroverted, funny, mischievous, creative, smart and skilled jack of all trades! I think a lot of ppl don’t really understand that usopp himself is a very attractive person. And Jacob channels these sides of usopp! And yes he is hot! I’m very excited to see how Jacob will maneuver through the sides of Usopp that he himself doesn’t like about himself. That he is this big scaredy cat, and he is the least brave and physically weakest straw hat. Then the whole build up to water seven and ennies lobby has to be achieved and then the respective arcs as well. Like his self-doubt about his own usefulness for the crew, his purpose when he always hides, needs to be saved and doesn’t really fight, and the whole story tied to merry. I’m genuinely looking forward to seeing these sides of usopp, or to seeing the „uncool“ side of usopp by Jacob! Because we know that he definitely nailed the confident and cool sides of Usopp! And now we need those other ones as well!
