- As a Filipina who was born and raised in the Metro Manila, Philippines and getting older each day ,I finally get the chance to experience the things I deserve. I've been taking care of my kids but never get the chance to pamper myself to relax and be away from home since I had my first child when I was 20.This is my review about my experience but no comparison with other hotels since I never checked -in in other posh hotels before.
This is in HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS HOTEL in Newport City in Pasay City.

Very true!🥲😆 I want to stop the time actually. Thursdy ,July 5 afternoon was wasted. It rained so bad that I couldn't swim in the pool cause there's lightning! 😅 One day I promised myself will go back here with my kiddos and check -in a 2 star motel and stay a week.😂

I stayed in that hotel with my Filipina fiancé back in April. The room looks exactly like the room we stayed in, but I imagine most of them are laid out the same way. The breakfast buffet there was awesome. I was glad to be able to treat her to such a nice hotel for our visit to Manila.

Time flies so fast!
My mom always liked to stay at nice hotels with a comfortable bed and nice amenities. She hated going with Dad and I on camping trips where we would sleep on the ground with our sleeping bags! Plus there was no running water or electricity in the Middle of the wilderness! She was totally a HOTEL girl all the way! LOL Many years later when I was a teenager Dad bought a motorhome so Mom had a nice foam mattress to sleep on! LOL

I don't understand why hotels in the Philippines are so expensive when wages are so low. I hope you'll get to travel more. Hotels are far better value for money in other nearby countries, such as Malaysia and Thailand.

@@bradleymiller7375 Sure. Here in Australia too. But our wages are about 10 times what they are in the Philippines, so it's surprising the gap isn't much wider.
The target of the hotels are the people with money. They know tourism is top in this country in terms of running a business. Also we have greedy politicians + monopolist+ businessman etc.who can approve any wage increase. Good news, I saw there is a wage increased in the labor sector now.
since you live in manila, can you tell me what is a good hotel to stay in manila?
I am not an expert. Just try searching in Newport City or Makati City.
