It honestly feel like prop firms got popular out of nowhere, although they been around for years...
They have but now retail trading is getting bigger than ever. Look at Robin hood. I never tried prop money. I dont like rejection!

Never put a time frame on becoming profitable, you will disappoint and discourage yourself if you don't meet your expectation. Focus on becoming consistent, focus on your process. The money will come!
you should have percentage return goals. not like expect to make a million dollars starting with 10k. percentage return goals, increase your total capital and eventually those percentages will be so huge that you can quit your job

My goal was to become a 4 figure then slowly level up. I'm in the lower 5 figure spot now. Watching some traders grow faster than me doesn't bother me.

prop firms the way to go man. all you need is 50k or 100k account risk 0.5% and take 2-4 trades a week and just let them run it’s no way you can lose an account by following those simple rules

He's right. And then you have the scalping way that is mostly known. Big ahh lot size. Best trade setup and probability. Boom! Bust each phase with 5 trades or less. 2 weeks max. And if you scalp anyway it could happen quicker.
I agree. I say $100K or $200K though. Because if you happen to have a small percentage when you get to the first payout. It'll be more worth it. 3% gain from a bigger account pays more. Obviously. Just my opinion. $100K minimum.

Seems like he’s trying to rush the process. He’s wanting to blast straight to 50k in 10 months. Slow down sir, take your time and learn the skill. Once you’re consistent with the skill, there’s no ceiling to how much you’ll make. But learn the skill first.

Man when I was trading with a prop firm it was stressful for me. I trade the daily, and with prop firms you have to have trades closed by Friday and with the daily some trades take weeks or a month to fully unfold. I just got a high leverage account and put my own money in it every month.
Trading prop firm made me feel like trading was a job. That’s just me though.
This is what I was thinking. I'm at a point where I am thinking of either putting a few stacks into my own personal account, or going the prop firm way. I like earning and controlling My own money. But alot of people on RUclips act like it will take forever to grow a personal account.
Same goes for me man. I'm too attached on prop firms than my personal live accounts because when it comes to prop firms I realized that its a short term flunctautions be like its like working stressful job for us to follow their strict rules in order to achieve pass challenges. As a result, I've never gonna make it overtime. While trading on personal accounts made me feel like its free like being comfortable with your edge without rules and restrictions. I'm very comfortable on build consistently on personal live acc in a long term to grow naturally. I stopped doing goofy sht as to get rich quick on prop firms. Thats why I stick on personal accounts based on my experience. No brainer
I agree. Personal is much better! Even Nick Shawn has a video out recently saying how after he failed 3 times he said screw it. And he kept on flipping his own money 😂

@@pacho.9964 I know what you mean. But ftmo also teaches good discipline that will help traders follow a set of rules or risk management. If they can’t then they will also just simply end up losing that ftmo account or failing a challenge. It’s not beginner friendly but for an experienced trader that needs funds ftmo is good to gain those funds

Uhhh. Prop firms been out since the 1990s. A lot more came out in the early 2010s. Hardcore marketing for them started mid to late 2010s. They been out here.

Just stay on your grind, atleast 3 hours a day studying/practice. And eventually you’ll make it. I was interested in forex when I was 14, but I didn’t stick to it. Got comfortable working from job to job until I got tired of hopping from job to job. Write down your goals. But don’t put so much focus into your goals that you forget to put focus on the process of getting that goal. I wish you the best 🙏

Try a little less, see what the market gave for the day, find the zones, that’s it, I used to spend too much time now I have a good routine, leave the day and comeback fresh. You have to see it live to know what’s happening, it really helps.

Just cuz you have a bigger acc doesn’t mean you can handle it. It’s definitely cuz of your overtrading. Write in your plan that your goal is 1-2 trades per day (1 in London and 1 in New York). It’s about the disclipine not the size of your acc

Depends on your style of trading. Some prop firms cater to certain trading styles. So if you’re a scalper you probably don’t want lower leverage and high spreads. Or if you swing trade you may need to hold through news or over the weekend some don’t allow that.

@@TheNameIsFreddy Once you trade more and do PIP calculations you'll notice that something like 5% or 10% is child's play (almost what's minimum expected) Gambling is not knowing how inputs determine outputs, all myths become science at some point.
Prop firms save our time when they are legit firms like the5ers, ftmo and mff.

I always recommend prop firms especially because it really do help you become a real disciplined trader, you have no choice but to learn how to risk manage each trade or that 5% daily drawdown can get you easily. Just in general the strict rules at the end of the day will only make you into a better discipline trader.

Ftmo bs cuz wen u pass your account they don’t actually refund you your money you have to make that money back to get it back smh that’s wat my email said from them
They refund you the amount after 1 month on the live account on your first payout
