- This is a Xtreme Indoor Karting in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. These carts are really fast indoor go karts and they are so much fun. This is video of the "championship," race.The go pro camera was mounted to the top of the helmet with a suction cup mount. The video is long because the camera was not mine and this was the easiest way to share it with my friends.

Driving a go kart is literally such an exhilarating experience. In that moment the last thing he’s going to concentrate on is what others think of him. It may not be fast but thats because its compacted. The only things in that moment that you have to worry about is spinning out and running people off the track 👌😆
it is really fun. i remember i went once and i was super nervous but as i started i was excited for each round to begin

once i crashed a go cart ino a wall and made everyone behind me make a sharper turn... the outcome was hilarious
curtmaster3001 I was karting once and the guy ahead of me hit the wall (because i put him there) and they slowed the karts down and everyone was angry with me for some reason
They do that so people don't T-Bone eachother, it's asking for someone to get hurt if you don't.
Anthony Corrozi it's all fun and games until someone gets nailed by a go-kart and is launched 10 straight up, then proceeds in their bad landing to break 7 ribs, collar bone, wrist, forearm and nose.

They do not look that fast on camera but I have personally done these before and you get upwards to 30-40 MPH Witch is actually pretty damn fast for how small of an area it is and how low you are to the ground....

No it's not that fast because I raced at this very place before, but who the fuck cares? It's fun! Let the guy do what he wants. What's fast to him is maybe slow to him. No offence but none of the guys in this video drive very well, you are all too hard on the brakes and jerky with your movements and the weirdest racing line i have ever seen. (take my opinion with a grain of salt though i have only been Karting on tarmac)

Robby43 I race at a speedway near where i live in low level stock cars and at the same place you can use 100cc shifter karts witch i have also driven. So not quite the same the track is big and tarmac but the karts are much faster and do slid a lot.
yes but I mean if you're just a little interested in racing you know
that taking the most straiight line through a corner is fastest, not the
shortest. So if you let your kart go when exiting a corner, you can
more easily get up to speed and your car has more room to put the
traction down. That way it won't slide. Also don't floor it immediately
when exiting, give it time to straighten up then give it gas. I suggest
watching a few videos on RUclips if you're not quite sure why I say all
this and if you doubt what I'm saying. I just want to give this to you
as a tip, so you improve your racing (tarmac and dirt) and your viewers
dont have to bang their heads into walls because of your driving. Other

I just got back from a beach vacation and drove on 3 different outdoor tracks. On the last one I went on there was a little girl (I'd estimate about 5 years old, WAY too young to be driving a go kart by herself, seriously they need an age limit) that had absolutely no idea how to drive. She ran into the side bumper at least 6 times, and she wasn't paying attention to the other drivers around her. I was trying to pass her because she was going very slow and she cut me off three times. Then I got up beside her and was trying to pass her and she rammed into me (hopefully on accident) and sent me into the bumper. I finally passed her and just as I did she screamed and flew into the bumper and I couldn't help myself from laughing. I wouldn't have laughed if she was hurt. Seriously, what do you expect to happen when a 5 year old who's never driven anything gets on the track? Anyways the other times I went it was very fun.

I've done this on electrics with a few friends, the feeling of acceleration and speed is just too fun :)
Fun fact: According to Thomas Game Docs, the development team behind Super Mario Kart actually went to a go-kart track for the purpose of understanding what it is like to drive a go-kart. Miyamoto denied the trip at first, but eventually gave in.
Turns out it did jack shit, because Mario Kart is nothing like Kart racing.

A kid in the karting place I went to chickened out on the FINAL LAP, and we had to sit there for like five minutes just... waiting.
It was awkward for me because I was stopped in front of a kid I lapped and had made some... Choice Gestures... because he was in my way.

This isn't even normal indoor karting speed
From what it looks like, the karts have a lot more power than most indoor karts, and the track is bigger. This driver just isn't spending much time with his foot down.
***** no these karts are slow. I worked at an indoor kart track years ago. It was a shithole, not a good track at all, but about the same size and these look like beginner karts. The "fast" karts there were 13hp and they were fucking dangerous on such a small track, so only 4 were allowed on the track at once

Sure, they are slower than some other karts (13hp is powerful), but they could definitely go faster than this. The driver is practically cruising through the course, which is obvious because of the engine sound.

looks slow and safe from outside, but scary as shit from inside
masyola when you're inside the kart it ain't that scary, your field of view is mostly obstructed by your helmet and because your visor is down you don't feel the air on your face like you would do if you were say, surfing.it's amazing and you don't even realise the speed you're going at

He's both sliding thorugh corners and getting lots of wheel spin. On concrete you might have less grip but its not that bad. Asphalt I agree, its better.

On asphalt I've only god wheel spin only once, I took a turn really bad and I lost some time there.

+Maximilian Beseler Maybe in the regular racing community this is a bad thing but there were no sort of "rules" about that when we were there. It was for a private corporate company party.
arukaen there are always rules. Karting is motorsport, no matter which community is driving. It's for your own safety. These yellow lights arent fancy disco lights, tgese lights say "attention, slow down, no overtaking".
Like I said they didnt explain anything about no overtaking. The explanation for the yellow lights were that someone crashed or spun out and the karts were now going to be turned down to the slowest setting so that the employees could hop on the field and fix the person who was "in trouble".

When I was a teenager my buddy raced shifter karts we had a little team three 15 year Olds one drives, ones a mechanic and my job was finding sponsorships I found an indoor track like this to sponsor us one year and they let us take the shifter kart on the indoor track that shit was wild

I drove on this track...a lot of people that dont know what they are doing. Like small children going slow and spinning all the time..just a pain in the ass. After a couple of races I got to a group of 40-50year old men and had an awesome race. So competitive...I won and turns out that the guy that was on my ass was a professional racer.
@LiNingAir, I have a go cart in my backyard and I ride around the neighborhood doing drifts and if I was in that race I would be skirt skirting on all those kids a swear

okay for all those commenting that these are fast, apparently you have never seen or driven at Pole Position. There are a couple of videos on youtube. Someone else also commented that most indoor tracks have gas engines. Well electric karts are the rage now. Faster acceleration, environmentally friendly, more evenly matched because of the setup stays the same across all karts.
I mean, Im not expert. I don't claim to know this track, but, this man is very clearly missing the apex, and that is why we are all upset. Plain and Simple. Don't need to be Michael Schumacher to realize he's off the edge.

On camera, karts look slower than they are. A lot slower
I race karts and I used a GoPro to film me doing a lap around the track and my speedo said just under 115kmph but on video it looked like I was doing 75
The race starts at around 12:40 from the look of it. Prior driving is just warm up I guess...

***** no gassers are WAAAAAY better because they have more power and a cooler sound.
The reason it sounds weird pumping it at times is because most track places have controls to limit the throttle/motor or turn the throttle all the way off. They do this when coming back to the staging area or when there is a spin and anything else really.
***** no it's just a fact, gassers can be made better than electronics, if not the bigger size, sometimes the electric ones are more heavy. we have only ben able to push the gas karts further up the line, but your'e right about the sound that's my opinion.

KZ 125: 6 gears kart with almost 50 bhp for 80 kgs, from 0 to 100 in 3 seconds, 180 kmh of top speed. They do exist, they're just super scary (and I mean SUPER scary, like you freeze for the acceleration panic) and super difficult to drive
