The times I've tried to really force a song that wasn't naturally flowing, I haven't been pleased with the results. I've written a lot of different kinds of songs- Songdrops songs I think of as usually hopefully funny or catchy songs that all ages might appreciate. I also sometimes write different kinds of songs, whatever I feel inspired to let flow, like songs that express feelings I want to get out, things like that. I haven't recorded most of those, but there are a few more serious songs on my Songdrops channe

I was already an adult when the first Duck Song was released. My parents weren't listening to kid songs in their free time when I was a kid. So how am I so broken a person that here I am, an adult, genuinely touched that the duck brought Santa grapes? And so I look out at the cold winter's night and think to myself "Our world needs more ducks bearing grapes."
Hey, I was also already an adult when the first one was released so I get what you're saying. I first heard it in 2009 and liked it right away because brought back memories of a joke I heard when I was a teenager in the 90s (I think I read it in Reader's Digest). It's a weird kind of nostalgia when you're nostalgic for something from your young adult years but it's just as real as the nostalgia for cartoons I grew up with in the 80s. And I agree, it's heartwarming that the duck gave Santa some grapes, gestures of kindness are always a great way to make the world a better place, even in fantasy cartoons.
I was in shock when I saw this on my recommended I’ve never even been so shocked before, it’s so great to see that the duck song is back after so long. I have so many memories of singing the duck song in elementary school with friends. I really hope to see more duck songs in the future!

i remember back in the day when this was really big me and my mates every day at school would get the ipads up and search up the MLG Duck song. those are some of my best memories of my childhood because i didnt have much else at that point and seeing that its still kinda around is really nice to see. take care mate

It's so amazing to think you posted your first video almost 15 years ago. Has it really been 15 years? So amazing to think, 15 years ago, back when I still had a full head of hair and didn't have arthritis or high blood pressure. I remember when I first saw it in 2009, the original duck song video that is, and thought "oh cool, someone made a song from an old joke" (although the joke, at least the version I read in Reader's Digest, or maybe it was MAD Magazine, took place in a bar and the bartender was far more hostile than the lemonade stand proprietor or the store owner). I have an idea for a funny conclusion to the saga, the duck visits somewhere, possibly a vineyard, and asks "got any grapes?" and after being told "yes" the duck is ecstatic, or maybe a little disappointed that he can't do his routine, depends on which would be funnier, and thus ends the song (it'd be the shortest of the duck songs, maybe of your entire song library).
Just when I thought my song writing skills were horrendous I hear this, thanks for making me believe in myself again, don't quit your day job.... unless of course this is your day job, then you should quit cuz you're terrible at it!
