According to your logic colin, then the Warriors 1st title is fraudulent as well... LeBron only had Matthew delavodova as his second best player due to injuries to Kyrie and Kevin. u said u have never seen anything like it. isn't it the same situation, 2 Allstars going down. Don't be a hypocrite

I think colin would agree with you. Warriors first ring was pretty lucky. And this was way worse when it comes to injuries than the cavs run when they lost the first time (cant remember the year) so its ok to say he never saw anything like it.

Bruh iggy, klay,KD,looney (broken collar bone),Livingston, steph dislocated finger, has his ring finger taped to his middle finger, cousins not even suppose to be playing with his hurt leg dude was like 50% trying to play he had no speed whatsoever I mean he was already slow but was extra slow with his injury, so if your comparing 2 injuries to 5 is irresponsible at best!!

    Kawhi was 75% all series
Kyle Lowry couldn't feel his thumb he has a torn ligament and is having surgery this off season
    Fred vanvleet lost a tooth
OG Anunoby was out because of his appendix surgery
I know it wasn't as bad as golden state but they still had four allstars for most of the series. And they lost every home game. Toronto absolutely earned the championship. Blaming the loss on injuries is ridiculous.

      Og anunoby?......really important piece....
Vanvleet loosing a tooth , doesn’t have a lasting pain or an affect on his capabilities . He was able to play beyond expectations . The other players were obviously able to play through them . Kd played 12 minutes in total...Klay Thompson before he tore his asl was out for a game , and out for a 4qrt. Boogie played his first-finals injured , visibly not himself . Iggy was hurting all series , and looney was in so match pain in his chest that he had trouble breathing . You know that you would have lost the finals if both teams were at full strength , be thankful for what happend. Enjoy it and stop trying to change the narrative

    • @sandeshjagessar
      @sandeshjagessar 5 лет назад +1

Bill Baxevanis in a perfect world the finals is played with both teams at full strength. Obviously golden state has a better roster they have what like five hall of famers. Part of the playoffs is the planning, to keep players healthy and out last the opponent. Toronto did that better than anybody and they won. By the way. Vegas had warriors as the favorites to win every game except game 1. So I dont wanna here anything about golden state's injuries. And I don't care how injured they are. For them to lose every home game. Especially the last one in Oakland just shows that Toronto was the better team.

    • @billbaxevanis2683
      @billbaxevanis2683 5 лет назад

Activerici 23 absolutely Toronto was the better team , without kd. They were deeper and had more options scoring wise. Golden state sacrificed their depth for kd. Because he makes up for it . They gambled with him and won 2 out of 3 . But had kd been even 75 % as kawhi was he would have been to much for Toronto too handle . You were right that Toronto was more prepared even though I don’t think anybody expected vanvleet level of play

@@billbaxevanis2683 No, Toronto wasn't the better team without KD. Yes, the Raptors did have more scoring options, but when the Warriors had Klay playing, they were able to win 2 games in Toronto. They were up 5 in Game 6 before Klay went out. I'm not saying the Warriors would have won the series, but there was no clear better team (it was neck and neck).

Really the only significant injuries were Boogie and KD. Any other Golden State injury is bullshit and the media being crybabies. The raptors had guys hurt too, and steph is a choker in the finals anyway so who cares if he's hurt, he probably wouldn't of done much more even if he was healthy. So let me get this straight.
The Warriors get 5 all stars in their prime. (The only team in the NBA to have that luxury, and the only team since the 80's to do this)
They were willing to take all the credit if they won, even though they had A MASSIVE advantage over every other team.
Yet, they suffer a few injuries and now the media are going to make excuses for them?
    Give me a break.

Don't make excuses for these players who couldn't play due to injuries and then praise others who could manage and play under the same circumstances. Pick one, are they soft and G.S. lost because they were soft, or did Toronto win because of circumstance. Toronto had a strong team. Another looser mentality coming from Colin (and Stephen A and Skip). Let's get this straight. When KD went down and the Warriors won 6-straight games to reach the NBA final, everyone was saying that the Warriors would be just "fine" without KD. In fact, some even said that the Warriors were better without KD. Then after the Raptors lost 2 straight games against the Bucks, everyone was saying that the Bucks is the best team out of the eastern conference and have the best chance of defeating the Warriors. Then the Raptors pulled the biggest upset (most due to over expectation of the Bucks, really).
After the Raptors beat the Warriors 3-1 (two shocking wins at Oracle for Game 3 and 4), the media and fans wanted KD to come back to "rescue" the Warriors. So if the Warriors were that good without KD, then why would they want KD to come back to help them?
The fact is this Raptors team is a legit championship team. They beat the 76ers and Bucks.. and forced the Splash Brothers to press the panic button so that KD would come back for Game 5.
So give the Raptors all the credits. It's about time!

First of all Cousins was injured when the warriors signed him so if there was anyone to fault here it's the warriors mgmt. Durant got hurt in the western playoffs, not the Raptors fault. Klay got hurt by his own, he landed awkwardly after going for a layup. I mean Basketball is a physical sport and injury can't be disregarded, it's an intangible cause. Raptors are a very good basketball team and you can't take anything away from them. The Raptors won because they are the better team and they know how to play smart.

The problem with creating superteams in a league with a salary cap is that you'll ultimately have to sacrifica depth quality at the role and bench spots in order to be able to pay your stars. Over the last 10 years of consisten "superteam" creation it has been shown that they win and do so pretty fast. It's also been shown that these teams are are highly impacted by injuries or some star undeperforming, since overall talent is concentrated upon a 2 or 3 stars players.
The bane of such teams over the last decades have been highly functional, deep-rostered teams often coached by an elite coach, that have surrounded one star player with elite talent, facing a superteam with a depleted roster or and absent star. Such was the case in 2011 when the Mavs beat the heat with a no-show Lebron, in 2014 when the Spurs beat the Heat with an ailing wade, in 2015 when the Warriors beat the Cavs with both K.Love and Kyrie absent to injury(Cavs had more stars, but GSW better coaching and a deeper roster with veterans complementing their Star in Curry) and now Toronto beating the Warriors under the circumstances we all know.
The playoffs and finals come after a long season taking place over a very large country. Sure, when firing at full cylinders super teams are nearly unstoppable. Yet, as talented and amazing as these people are, they're immune system is the sama as anyone else, their bones and ligaments break like anyone else, they have spouses and family like us and they can have personal and professional problems like any other person. When your talent and resources concentrate upon a few individuals then the risk of something happening at any one of these variables increases as well.

Why does everyone seem to want to remind us of the injuries GSW suffered this year to lose the finals, but no one wants to bring up the times they won due to the others teams untimely injuries. Cavs 2014 2 of the 3 best players were hurt. Last year CP3 goes down in game 5 in rout to claiming a 3-2 lead. If we count up all the times the injury bug went in GSW favor they'd have 1 definitive ring. Raptors were the better team KD, Klay or not

Colin still sour about his overrated Celtics (have been for years) weren't a threat at all.
Never gave the Raptors much credit. These aren't the same choking Raptors under Casey and DeFrozen. They weren't ready yet. Lowry is somewhat more clutch than DeFrozen.
Also, the Bucks (he underestimated them as well) are way better than the Celtics and will be for yrs to come, will probably win an NBA title soon as well. The Greek Freak and company took a dump on the Celtics this season in the playoffs.
Rapts, Bucks , Nets, 76ers , Pacers, and possibly the Magic will all be better than his Celtics next season. lol
Upset that Kawhi and pretty much a bunch of role players/vets embarrassed his original Eastern pick (star laden Celtics team) lol. Let it go, Colin.
This Toronto team is like that 2011 Dallas Mavs team with Dirk and a bunch of role players/vets. That upset the star laden Heat in the NBA Finals.
The Warriors beat (and struggled as well) against an undermanned Cavs team (Lebron and Delavodova? lol ) when Kyrie and Love were hurt in 2015. So there's that.
CP3 got hurt last season, otherwise Rockets beat the Warriors. Zaza cheapshot hurt Kawhi when they played the Spurs a couple of yrs ago. Possibly changed the whole series.
OKC, Durant/Westbrook choked in 2016 WCF against the Warriors. 2015, Memphis had injuries Conley, Allen, etc (lead series 2-1) and could have beaten the Warriors in the 2nd round.
GSW had some luck over the years as well. Great team, tho.

Being in shape is part of the skills combo Colin. ‘83 Sixers, ‘89 Pistons, ‘15 Warriors etc. all won because of injuries but who cares? You got to mention them too if you are in the honesty business! These teams won.
‘91 Bulls beat a reduced, tired, old and far from their Showtime hay days Lakers. But they all say Jordan beat Magic that year like he did it to that IMHO GOAT ‘85 Showtime Lakers team! At the end of the day the winner wins. Raptors did not cheat or cause Warriors injuries. And if Kyrie is too stupid or selfish to impose his “iso” mentality on the Celtics system, this is not Raptors fault. Kyrie completely destroyed Boston. This is ain’t smart. And you know what? Being smart is also part of the skills combo.
So Colin please just get over it. Raptors beat Warriors. They deserved the title 100% and they got it. They capitalized on their opportunities and this is exactly what champions do. Harden, Kyrie etc. with their better potential did not get to do that. Too bad so sad. Raptors are champions. Period. End of story.
