I’m comfortable anywhere, never loved a town like that. My home town is wherever my family is, NYC, NY or Odessa, TX. But I get why people gravitate back home… it’s what you know and (most of) the people you love.
I moved out of my hometown when I was 17 and just commuted for school. There's not enough money in the world to make me go back... I don't even go near it. But, with that move I was going from west of OKC to east OKC and living with my grandparents... which I loved, The area though, not so much. I moved out in 2008... my apartment was about 3 miles away, but each time I moved a little further... until I started looking to buy. Well, I bought a small house and moved it (story for another time, LOL)... and where did I move it, you ask? My property line butts up to my grandparents, but that's not even all of it. 1. My grandparents property is behind me. Their house isn't behind my house just the back end of their acreage. 2. Then my mom ended up building just North of my grandparents, (I'm south). and 3. My neighbors across the street is my aunt and uncle. I think my Papa had it all planned from the start. LOL
