I've been trying to teach myself how to sew. I've watched videos, tutorials. This was such a blessing to FINALLY see why I can't cut well with my rotary cutter. Thank you so much for this video!
I must say, this has been the most helpful video! I haven't sewn in years and recently started sewing again. My biggest fear has been cutting straight. I bought a rotary cutter and a 6x24" ruler to help me. Thank you for showing me how to prep my fabric in such a clear and easy to understand manner! I see that this video is 2 years old but I hope you see my comment because you are a great teacher!

I like using a 5 lbs. Weight at the end of my ruler to anchor it before using my rotary cutter.
The ergonomic cutter is made for use with the right hand. The blade isn't visible when using it in the left hand.
Will you able to use the go mat with the fiska rotary ,PS I love your videos just starting out quilting.
Yes, you can mix and match brands, that won't affect the cutting
