i dont mean to be so off topic but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account? I was dumb lost the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
BLESS YOU! I have started with Asana SO many times and always get buried under all of the features. This is such a simple, straightforward way to build it up and maximize its use.
Dude! Thank you so much for this. It's a totally different perspective when you see how another organization uses the features. I work with a hospitality group and there are so many moving parts. This video gave me a few different ideas on how to make better use of the software. Thanks for creating this content. True value!
Definitely the best Asana tutorial! Thank you! Very details and thorough. I'm planning on using it for my company and I think you gave me a great overview of what I can expect! Thanks!! Please post more vids
THANK YOU!! Seriously, I appreciate the kind words. And we post new videos every week, so be sure to subscribe to the channel and check out all our other videos.
Great info! I just started a new job with a company that very extensively utilizes Asana. I'm not at all familiar with it and your video really helped me get a solid understanding.
this was very clear and helpful! thank you for a calm and concise video to explain these feature.....too many are people acting goofy....i get so distracted with their behavior, I never catch what they are trying to teach.
Thanks Joseph, glad you enjoyed the tutorial. You'll probably like this week's video as well which breaks down how I get tasks off my plate and to my team so that I can earn more while working less. Here's the link in case you want to check it out: ruclips.net/video/dh08SJ50FZw/видео.html Really appreciate you watching the video and leaving a comment!
Thank you for this video and for not going step by step on how to set up Asana! I am specifically interested in how you manage transparency with Asana. I see your group tasks project but I don't see how you tag others in it and utilize this area. My issue is that after A year of using Asana there are huge blind spots. I need a way without using the premium version to be able to see what people are doing. I was thinking of making a master project that is only for that week to see what people are doing but then it would probably be very cluttered and disorganized because there are 6 people working on completely different tasks and projects that don't work together. They just work on their own but I want to be able to ensure that the tasks are getting done without me having to search for them. I find Asana can become a bottomless pit of tasks and projects and it becomes hard to see what everyone is doing that day or what they actually completed or didn't complete. What do you suggest for this? I have watched all the Asana videos on you tube. None address this issue unless I buy the premium version which is not feasible for me to do.
For a program that is so essential, its amazing how people want it for free. You would think if it was so critical for a business to succeed, that you would be willing to invest in it.
I agree, but unfortunately it's that way with everything. People want free. You have to invest in yourself in your business if you want to grow though, and for me, this is a "can't live without". But you can go a long way with the free version before you need to pay anyway.
The problem is that they charge per person and not for multiple users so while I would pay for premium for myself I don't need it for the rest of my team which they force you to do. I think this is an ignorant statement since there are so many monthly fees involved when running a business on every platform you use it isn't reasonable to charge per person for programs like this. For me it would cost too much money per month and I refuse to pay per user for all of the programs I use. I have an EHR system, clover which has in app repaired per month purchases, g suite (per user) so I limit this to only 3 accounts that we share, etc.
Asana has made the complex workflow in the real estate industry very easy. I can deliver a consistent experience every time through a solid Asana workflow. Zentao is a similar tool which works well as well.
Just starting to look more in depth at Asana. Can you set up a task with a planned duration so you can see slack time in your project? And with a task and associated subtasks, can you include planned durations for when you duplicate the task? As in when I start with a new client, can I show a typical project plan for my services?
Really great tutorial video on Asana. I'm alone in my business at present but I can see a number of ways I can use it to keep myself on track and also keep my ideas for social media etc in one place. Look forward to future video's :)
Unfortunately no, the timeline feature is part of premium. The good news is that Asana premium is very reasonably priced especially with one, or only a few, user(s).
Yes, it's a list of clients with important information. Each client card includes things like KPIs, budget, goals, upcoming projects and dates, things we want to test, etc.
awesome!! this was great content... the app functionality is EVERYTHING... hats off to you and quality time with your wife :) the Bachelor = nap time! ijs...
Great presentation. Thanks for posting. Wish you'd said more on getting the tool (if it can) to organise tasks and subtasks into a day to day To Do list. I'll look for some of your other tutorials. But you certainly made Asana look more straight forward than I found it before your video.
Paul S that’s a great idea for a new video. I definitely use Asana more for team and project management than as a day to day to-do list, but there are so many ways you can use it as a to-do list.
What's stopping you? It doesn't take as much time as you think. A lot of our students do it on their lunch break or squeeze it in at night. It's just about making some time for it.
@@LaptopEmpires I am currently deployed, and taking classes. I will continue to work towards making time. I think I can write well. I'm still working on a central theme or platform for what I will write about.
@@LaptopEmpires I am still searching. However, I am leaning towards things like leadership and life learning. I know that is very broad so I still need to narrow it down.
Great video. Enjoyed it. You explained it well. Now I probably at the stage when you started with trello. How do you import all contents from trello to asana?
Glad you enjoyed it! Unfortunately, that's a manual process of moving things over. But the good news is that you may find that some of that stuff doesn't need to come over like I did! I ended up getting pretty clean and organized during the switch because I was able to eliminate stuff that was outdated or unused. It was like spring cleaning for my business.
Good video! Thanks Mike! Question - is it possible to link tasks in the Board view to tasks in the Tasks view? It seems they are completely separate? This is annoying, as technically you have to manually duplicate tasks to show up in both views? Would appreciate any assistance!
Etienne Le Roux yes you can add take/cards to multiple projects, allowing you to see it in both views. Or you can click the task, then click the settings in the top right, copy task url, then paste it onto a card. I think the first option is more what you are looking for. Does that help?

Thank you for great video, is the iPhone sync with the desktop automatically
Sameh Bolos Yessir. There’s zero lag time that I’ve ever seen. Even the feature that allows you to forward emails to Asana is pretty instantaneous.

Very clear and concise. Thanks for the great video. I had apprehensions about whether the free plan would get the job done or not. Thanks for this.
Thanks for the video!
Do you know if it's possible to use the timeline view (like a Gantt chart) using the basic plan (free)?
Unfortunately no, the timeline feature is part of premium. The good news is that Asana premium is very reasonably priced especially with one, or only a few, user(s).
Get stuff Mike! Thanks!
What does your "RD Client" project look like? Is I a list view that's divided up into sections by client name?
Yes, it's a list of clients with important information. Each client card includes things like KPIs, budget, goals, upcoming projects and dates, things we want to test, etc.
What software/hardware did you use to record what you were doing on your mobile device? Thanks in advance.
Loom.com and the native screen record on my iphone

that was awesome. well explained!!

Can't find the hide completed tasks option on the app. I see all the completed ones. I found the option but they are still showing in a specific card.
How do you record your screen on your phone?
Here you go boss:

May I know how to get the underline for Section like yours? once i created the sections, but it does not have underline.
Asana just updated the look of their List View and that underline isn't there anymore!
Thanks. Keep it up.. 👍
You're welcome! Appreciate you watching.
Thanks much!

Just getting started. I want to use this for onboarding new agents. Is there another tutorial that is slower and walks you through a tad slower? LOL
Change the play back speed :)
Can you review taskade.com next? 🤩
Asana no longer free?
cat knitt according to their website Asana is free for up to 15 people
Clickup 200% better than asana
What's better about it?
