I’m so glad you specified in the intro about calling around to all the Walmarts first. It’s good to know that it doesn’t come easily for you either to find stuff. Lots of times I feel like we sit here and wonder what’s wrong with us, or our area that we’re not find the same items as those online talking about. It can be disheartening. I appreciate you keeping it real!
Also; I’ve been decorating for all the holidays ever since I was first married (over twenty years ago now. ) and I can tell you that while yes, you still get similar items for less from the dollar store, the quality is not always the same. (Although recently I’d say the quality at dollar tree has really sky rocketed for value) - however those garlands are completely dependent on how “full” you want it to look. If your looking for a simple garland, then yes it’s fine. If you want something more full, it might be worth it just getting it at hobby lobby on sale. I’ve got tons of fall garlands both from dollar store and all other places, and you can always tell the quality difference. The dollar store garlands are really good though to cut into pieces and use the sprigs for crafts or as filler. They work really well filling up those tall black porch lanterns. Found my porch lanterns (without any filler) at Walmart about three years ago for a fraction of the price as Michaels, and have used them for every holiday just changing out the colors and filler inside.

I stopped in Walmart to find some more tops before they brought out the new season. I got a couple of them but they weren't on rollback. And the ones I liked were almost gone so that was disappointing.😔 I guess that's the price I pay for living in a small town.

Yeah all Walmart stores have different stuff it's never the same stuff in every store which is kind of good because the stores keep people wanting to go to different places to discover things.
