I teach ESL, so really Nearpod is the better choice. Having the feature to get students to record is very important.

This was very helpful thank you. I teach Physics in High school and often write on the powerpoint when we are going over calculations, that is something I cannot do in Pear deck when I'm presenting which puts pear deck at a disadvantage for me. I'm going to check out Near Pod and see if I can do that. Also, Pear Deck does not show animations when you are presenting it just puts everything on the screen, this also does not work for me

I'm glad it was helpful! Do you have the Powerup Peardeck extension on your browser? With that installed gifs and animations work while using peardeck. Nearpod does not have animations unfortunately but they do have an extensive gif library which can be helpful when I make presentations.

Can I ask which software you used to record the video....and where did you find the the cool clips you added? Thanks....

Is it true that if your nearpod subscription ends your lessons are lost?

I thought this at first too! But they actually archive them and when you renew you can still access the old lessons.
