I saw Anberlin in 2003 on the Everyone Wants To Rule The World tour with Relient K and Don't Look Down. Relient K was headlining, but Anberlin stole the show.
Matty doesn't sound bad, but he kinda sounds like a dude doing karaoke on these songs. The one plus is that Stephen was kinda hard to understand, but that was part of the charm. Love Anberlin, man.
I think Matt is ok, it does sound like the vocals are being corrected from the sound board though. This is a very common thing with Matt for some reason, even on his RUclips shorts where videos are called isolated vocals, it's never clean and normal. Always corrected and that's very frustrating. It just comes across as fake, we want to hear his real voice, not this corrected cleaned up BS. He can clearly sing and we know this from old live videos of Memphis May fire, that's why it's frustrating. It's because I know he can do it

He sounds amazing. He’s one of the best singing vocalists in the metal/rock game right now, and it’s not really close.
