I treasure John Conlee as a person, as a believer, and a very talented singer, song writer, and musician. He has such a tender heart and love for Jesus. I saw him in person years ago, in 1998, I think, in Auburn Washington with the djs from kmps, a Seattle country music station at the time. I had won several Dolly Parton look alike contests that kmps had sponsored so the djs would treat me to various concerts. I still have the album of his greatest hits that he signed for me. I remember hugging him and he kissed me on the cheek. I never wanted to wash my face after that! Crazy, huh? His songs have blessed my life beyond measure! Thank you, John, for getting into Gospel music. I agree with you totally about the repetitious choruses in our churches today. They don't hold a candle to the hymns of our youth!

John is not only a great singer, he's also a good man. John, say hello to Steve for us. Brenda and I are so glad he's on the mend... God bless ...
Always loved his music. Glad I found this interview.
