All these scholars seem to create an excuse that Pakistan economy started going down from 1965 - truth is that until 71, Pakistan used to loot East Pakistan and spend it in West Pakistan. After 71, they had no means of significant revenue left in the west and being the nincompoops that they are the economy started to tank. I lost my respect for Ishtiaq Ahmed - and in any case he is living in Stockholm, Sweden - where Muslims are being asked to leave if they cannot adhere to local law and order.

After war, around 500 sqm and 1200 sqm of land, 4200 and 3400 soldiers killed, 27 and 75 aircraft destroyed, 570 and 230 tanks and other armour were destroyed respectively between Pakistan and India.
