Wow, thank you for amplifying my message! Here is an update: I never had a partner manager/contact at RUclips and after my video someone at RUclips reached out to me and is working closely with me to help solve some of my problems. Turns out there is actually a glitch on my channel. The age restriction was applied and then removed from my Steveo video within a couple of hours. But the age restriction has destroyed the videos algorithm performance permanently. Going from about 1,000 views per hour to less than 100 views per hour. The only solution I have now is to delete the video & reupload or hope that one day it will just magically get recommended to everyone again..
Thank you Phil, its crazy to see you talk about me on your channel. Much Love!!

The idea of taxing student loan forgiveness is giving me SO much anxiety. If people can't afford to make loan payments, why would they be able to afford forgiveness tax?! Especially those who will have more debt forgiven if they had Pell grants, which is aid specifically given to students from lower incomes. Why are people being punished for needing help?! The stimulus payments were nontaxable, so this should be too. Its the government giving much needed relief to people who need it the most.

The way I understand it, these states aren't going out of their way to tax federal student debt forgiveness. They just have a policy of taxing forgiven debts in general. While that policy is problematic in this situation, it helps prevent rich people from avoiding income taxes by borrowing money (which you don't have to pay taxes on), then getting that "loan" forgiven. If the forgiven loan was also untaxed, that would be VERY easy to abuse.
It would make sense for these laws to have exceptions for situations like student loan forgiveness (the students never had the cash in the first place - it went straight to the institutions). But that requires a legislature to foresee that situation, then agree on including a provision for it.

Unless YT’s content approval process uses data about how people interact with the content to decide if/ how to restrict it (which feels like bullshit), the content should be able to be sent for review by whatever algorithm, and then the creator can make changes or w/e until it’s not restricted.
Like, as far as I know, the first day of a video being released is really important for how well it’s going to do with the algorithm, and also taking a video down and putting it back up multiple times is probably confusing/annoying to subscribers with notifications on.

@@donatoclemente4421 See, that's the reason they aren't comparable situations. The Clinton email server was a cover-up, for sure, and she should have faced real consequences for it. As us "normal citizens" are constantly reminded: Ignorance is not an excuse for breaking the law.
However, where these situations are entirely separate and different is that Trump and his people literally took, without authorization or valid reason, highly-classified documents containing State secrets that are not only important to OUR national security, but also to the national security of another nuclear-capable nation (and the world, by extension). Trump has demonstrated time and time again that he misunderstood and exaggerated the authority he held for 4 years as a SITTING President, and continues to do so as a FORMER President. What he did with these documents is essentially theft of State secrets. We're not sure WHY he took them; the only reason that's been given thus far is that he "thought he could" because of his position as a former President of the U.S. Former Presidents DO get daily national security briefings, so he is entitled to the information that's contained in those, but he can't just grab a bunch of boxes of documents, tell no one, and then say he has Executive Privilege over them once he gets caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
It's like he doesn't understand that limitations not only exist, but that they apply directly to him. I can understand that being a billionaire in America may have taught him that he has certain privileges in normal society, but being a leader comes with scrutiny and accountability. You can argue all day about whether any particular politician understands that or not but, in Trump's case, it is demonstrably dangerous to take the liberties that he has done and continues to do.
He should be subject to the same laws as everyone else, and if anyone else has done what he's done here... They'd be in a very small cell for an extremely long time.

Then convey it clearly to the community so people know what to expect, what not to do and what to avoid.
Then they should enforce it consistently to everybody instead of playing favorites.
If something happens that isn't covered that they consider to be punishable they should give a warning to the first person or group of people doing it and then update their terms to include it going forward.
It's not that hard (in theory) they just need to do it and do it properly.

Both RUclips and twitch have stated multiple times in the past they will not fully reveal those criteria. They don't want ppl intentionally pushing where the known boundaries are or "rules lawyering". By keeping the rules vague, they expect creators to have a rough understanding of what is acceptable and to stay within that. So they keep the advantage against the kinds of ppl that will want to push what is acceptable and so they are not held to a strict code of conduct and can pass their judgment with flexibility at their discretion. They don't want to give ppl the ability to game their systems, because they don't want to participate in the arms race that will ensue. These are reasons they have stated previously that I can remember.

Yes rule lawyering might happen but that doesn't stop both Twitch and RUclips from giving a warning and putting a punishment on it for the future, they would still be flexible without any backlash from the community since everybody would end up with the same punishments for the same thing.
I would even say that these vague rules do more damage to the community by having inconsistent rule enforcement without any proper communication than it does good for RUclips or Twitch to be flexible which they can also achieve with my suggestion.
In my opinion these vague rules, poor communication, inconsistent enforcement, etc doesn't come from a place of wanting to be flexible and wanting people to not push the rules to the limit but more so from a place of not getting held accountable when something goes wrong.
Lets say RUclips and Twitch both implement my suggestion and a rule gets enforced improperly where someone got a 7 day ban and another person got a permanent ban for the same thing.
This would show that something somewhere was done wrong and then the community would be able to point that out and point it out clearly where as now that would be difficult to prove.

As a father myself, if at 30 your trying to exploit me, then your done in my view - kid or no - I study the brain and how culture & conditions change our actions over time, even if you are a perfect parent and the kid grows up well. It’s likely they will be good but there’s nothing stopping life outside as an adult wouldn’t change them depending how the circumstances go and that is random.

All this shit with RUclips makes me want to stop using the platform altogether because I know creators are suffering and I don’t want to participate in that system or keep paying for Premium when this is how creators are treated. But on the opposite side of the same coin, it would hurt creators if I stopped watching and interacting with their content. I’m starting to become frustrated with this company just as a casual viewer, which is a really bad thing for RUclips, as their own creators are about done with this platform. I’m telling you it all went south when they were acquired by Google. All these changes, everything is a mess. Tired of big corporations and monopolies absolutely fucking everything up. I feel the same way about IG and their acquisition by FB. Just please stop conglomerating everything. All these platforms are owned by the same people and it’s really not necessary.

I thought my 11 year old daughter had been kidnapped on Friday (her first day at a new school). I was working away from my home city, so I stole a car to get back quicker than my lorry could of. Police were involved but turned out to be a clerical error by the school and she was fine. However another girl in her class was missing, police or school won't update us on the situation. Absolutely the worst 2 hours of my life.

Lovelyti has been talking about RUclips suppression of her videos for years. She’s one of the few who RUclips still randomly unsubscribes her subscribers. I don’t understand the end game that RUclips and google is playing by coercing their creators to overly sterilize their content. At this point, I feel like creators should use RUclips as a message board of sorts and then house their videos on their own websites after awhile.

There is an issue across social media platforms like Instagram. I’m on the creator bonus program where you get paid to post reels, but they are always changing the view goals to an impossible number AND I haven’t been paid and no one will answer my emails. I’m now thinking they will not pay me at all
