  • As part of our #GoogleAfricaCelebratesAlte campaign, we sought to find out the origins of the Alté movement and explore the role RUclips played in its inevitable growth. Back in 2019, Google Arts & Culture first profiled the Alté movement while in its nascent stages in Lagos, Nigeria but this year we decided to further explore its growth and adoption across Africa by speaking to Alté culture shapers from South Africa, Nigeria & Kenya.
