I understand that holding the asset will increase in value over time and that is the real point but the money is still needed right

When you use your u.s dollars to buy a gold coin, you are converting your cash into gold. Is this what you are asking?
@emmawagner471 ... this video clip is screaming how garbage physical currency is, then my question would be, when you purchase something to eat, dry cleaners, dinner, car wash, etc...are you spending a GOLD BAR or that "toliet paper" dollar? In order to purchase gold, then what currency are you using to make that purchase? I'm not against what's being said. I'm simply saying make it make sense? Even if you were to buy the gold bar as you state, you're still using the same currency you're calling trash?? Or are you saying if it's an electronic purchase, then no physical money is being used? Basically what cash you have to spare for saving...don't save it, invest it like buying gold. As inflation rises your cash savings loses its value, but if it's in gold it's stable or will increase in value. This is why gold has always been a hedge against inflation for the big players.
What is coming that 99% of the world don't know if want to know is that crypto is coming hard and fast, this will change everything.

@@yb9104 you just sell the gold for fiat currency when/if needed, otherwise just let your gold increase in value over time. CBDC's are just around the corner so fiat will eventually vanish and all purchases will be digital, don't know how long that will take, each country will roll this out over the next few years. Even where I live, banks are closing down and stating only specific branches will allow cash withdrawal, anything over 5k needs to be booked a week in advance. It's all a slow process to make the public except it over time so people don't go crazy.

Yes, the value is still there, but you will pay more as jewelry is sold for it's artistic value as well.

What can one do if they have an IRA in gold with someone else can it be transferred his company?
Save real money which is physical silver and gold but silver is by far the better position to be in due to the gold to silver ratio compared to the mining ratio that gold and silver is mined out of the ground. Currently the gold to silver ratio is over 84 to 1 when in reality it should be about a 7 to 1 ratio. If gold were to stay the same price but they fixed the ratio to the ratio that it's mined out of the ground, silver would be worth $280 an ounce if not more because it's used in industry and thus depleted. That means that if you had $1,000 worth of silver that it should be worth $11,600.

@@janpham487 I first started stacking in 1993 and started saving a minimum of 20% of my pay check that went into stacking gold and the change left over went into silver. As I advanced in my career, I started stacking more and was able to increase the percentage of income into stacking. I stopped stacking gold at the end of 2008 and never purchased it again. I then focused on only stacking silver but never paid more than $14.50 till around June of 2022. In March of 2020 I traded all my gold for silver on the day of the dip when the gold to silver ratio was 127 to 1. I did it about 10:00 PST just after my local LCS opened. I didn't know that the price had dipped that much till I walked into the door as the drive is about an hour and a half away but I did know that it was low. The LCS is the shop that I had purchased most of my metals over the years but I thought they wouldn't do that deal because of the massive dip in the market that day. They did and they didn't charge me much premium since it was a large trade and they didn't want another shop to get the business. Now I have 100% silver. The silver price that day was about $10 and the gold was $1,650. The gold to silver ratio is why I did the trade and now it's worth about two and a half times as much.

US Dollar is trash yes, but the best thing is to invest into a cashflow. Gold or silver are just savings and should be not more than 5-15% of your portfolio!
I understand storing gold elsewhere, but there is also a cost with that. We aren't Robert who is able to afford a vault to store gold. So, if you buy gold, you have to subtract the monthly cost to store it wherever you put it from your investment and I guess that is just hard to factor.

The problem is that there is no incentive for Oil companies to invest in bringing new oil online so the price will skyrocket. It is like Nickel, cobalt silver, etc. The timeline to bring new mines is about 10 years. All these commodities have been manipulated for the elites schemes. Oil is not like currency because it can't be printed out of thin air.
