“Eating Crow Chris” makes an unexpected cameo so soon. Compelling, and rich. 😊😎🍿

Res Arcana Duo is both a standalone AND an expansion. So, it's not an either/or with the base game. Buy whichever one appeals to you first and then, when you want more content, buy the other as an expansion.
Further, Res Arcana Duo is especially curated for two players -- with a tight set of cards, no attacks (which some couples prefer), and a new draft procedure for two.

I wasted €60 on Black Forest, just to confirm I still hate Uwe Rosenberg games. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Chris, hopefully you can help me here… My favorite board game is Mansions of Madness because of the co-op play, realistic map tiles, figures, and varied campaigns with digital addons via companion app with ambiance music and voiceovers… Are there other games like this with realistic tiles that have a variety of lay-down maps, campaigns, co-op play, etc? I realize large RPG-type games like Gloomhaven are closer, but they are WAY more complex and harder to get guests and avg people into them. I’ve checked out other games like Eldritch Horror, Arkham, etc. but their boards are not nearly as realistic, interesting and dynamic.

Havent played wotr the card game but id like to know ur point on it being better at 2 players. I saw that on bgg its 5 to 1 for 4 players and thought the difference was interesting.

I wait for big sales on LCG's. Sadly some of the content is out of print, mainly the "return to's" for Arkham Horror, but also Dr. Strange and Captain America for Marvel Champions. Amazon prime day deals and Nerdz day have been good to me for LCG's and Spirit Island at a good discount.
I disagree on Horizons of Spirit Island. I find it way better to learn on as a beginner than the origonal base game. If they offered a pack for the spirits, and their power cards without the second set of tokens and other stuff like the lower quality board, than that would probably be ideal. But you can get it dirt cheap with sales often enough. It's a must have in my opinion for introducing new people to the game. The core game spirits have a rule breaking ability, that can prevent an important lesson for beginners to pick up. Especially the thunder bird negating slow on powers, making them fast.

Great analysis, thank you! A bit off-topic, but I wanted to ask: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How can I transfer them to Binance?

Res Arcana with 2 people is already fine, I can't see any reason to make a duo/duel one. Video Game Champion is definitely a theme I'm interested in, so may well pick it up.

Who cares about resale. Just play your games. Then you don't need to buy anything new.
