As a brazilian it makes me happy to see a South American winning a grass tournament! Tabilo is really becoming a top tier player! Congratulations and good luck on Wimbledon!! 🇧🇷🤝🇨🇱
I'm afraid it will be the same as during FO. Alejandro won the pre-Grand Slam tournament and was later eliminated in the 1st round against Zizou Bergs.
Remember playing him in OTA (ontario tennis association) in toronto when he was 10. He destroyed me. Everyone said he was the real deal. Now I see what they meant 😂
I said it after he beat Djokovic, Tabilo is definitely top-15 caliber, possibly top-10 if he can get past the Americans (Fritz, Paul, Shelton). Now he's 19th. With Baez, FAA, Ugo, and Rune in free fall lately, he could easily end the year top 15. The only truly shocking losses Djokovic has suffered lately were Luca Nardi at Indian Wells and Tomas Machac in Geneva...Tabilo is a great player.
I'm gonna take a big swing, but I think Alejandro could inspire a lot of South American players to look beyond the clay (Like Juan Martin who we all loved and adored). He still needs to make a slam 2nd week (I think) but gosh are all the signs there for a run at Wimby or the US Open! ❤ Wonderful addition to the top 20!
Tabilo is a trick guy. He can push his forehand forever without missing and he junks alot. Most guys aren't jumping all over his short replies and end up missing easy balls. A very effective style because he is typically fast like other pushers.
@@mamaclackson I am referring to the fact that for a match to be decisive, all it takes is for one side to commit 2 unforced errors sequentially, at the pivotal moment, as in the case of Ofner in the 9th game of the 2nd set. En el efecto domino de las cosas claro pero el tenis es así, para todos igual, lo que si y creo que es lo que quieres decir es lo raro de ganar un quiebre con dos errores no forzados consecutivos que fueron del único quiebre del set
Humble vs Tablet vs Shelved. The battle of the all-star lefties continues. With Wimby around the corner & the year half over, all three are in the Top 20, but who has the most momentum in 2024? Uggs has made the most money ($1.4M+) & won the biggest title (Dueby 500), but has basically stalled since. Tabby now has the best match record of the three & has won more money this season than Beneath. Every tournament Shelltones flops at, Tableaux is there showing him how it's done, winning Caulkland (hard) & MyOrca (grass) & reaching the SF of Roam (clay). Will Bent learn his lesson or will more uncompromising play behind serve continue? The US hard court swing will not be what Shelter expects.
Congrats Tabilo. Excellent player. But….these dudes would get soundly beatenby grass court specialists from 10,20,30 years ago. Huge take back on the forehands, not taking the ball early is a poor way to play on a quick surface . It’s a bit embarrassing that these two are contesting a title on grass (Tabilo definitely the better all around player though) . Am I wrong?
not quite, but you're not considering the fact that grass courts were changed years ago on purpose to sustain longer rallies, so it's not really the players fault. Even those specialists from decades ago you're talking would have performance troubles on current courts

Tabilo’s serve motion looks a lot like a lefty Kyrgios
I was thinking exactly the same... and they also kinda look like they could be related :D

Often times all it takes is for one person to commit two unforced errors consecutively to determine the final outcome.
no es este el caso
El partido es mucho más que solo dos errores no forzados, de hecho en este caso son cuatro partidos ganándole a diferentes rivales
