- This is the common problem we always encounter to an old cassette player. In this video I'm going to share how to repair your own cassette player. The video is simple and direct to the point.
Amazing work, I loved the attention you gave in subtle details. Even without saying a word I learned so much from your very precise tutorial! I am not even working on the same cassette player but it helped me understand the inner workings of one very well! Thank You!
Welcome😊 Glad you liked it!
Thank you, very clean tutorial
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful thanks!!!
Very well explained. Thanks.
You are welcome!
Excellent. I'm taking apart my Walkman to do just that. Except one final screw which won't come out. The top of it has now sheared off! Tried elastic band technique but no joy
Thanks😊 About the screw try to heat the screw using soldering iron but be careful of the plastic part.
Very nice. But I can't figure out how to know the size of the rubber bands accurately. Is there a place to specify the size? And where can you get quality rubber bands?
There are many for sale in online store. Here I have a link hope this will help you ruclips.net/video/OXK_hNy_0Vs/видео.html
great video. Which belt kits to buy?
There are many belts for sale online.
@@Woodys_Hobbies I've been looking and decided not to order till i know the style the thicknesses and diameters. Next step is to take all my units to pieces, measure then order. Thanks.

My walkman does turn on but doesnt spin the motors
Did you check the belt?
Actually, it all soldered inline with design for maintenance, simply flip it over instead of desoldering soldering
You can try 😊
why don't they use cogs instead of elastics :/ smh. nowdays all those 90's elastics are trash
I don't know. yeah they 90's now are trash but the electronics now a days are more trash.
Seems rather complicated for someone whos never done this before and doesnt have a clue
.. i would like to learn but where do i even start?
In my part I start how to open a Walkman and study the connections inside a Walkman.
@@Woodys_Hobbies right but u obviously had previous experience working on electronics like this before. You had the right tools right off the bat like that soldering tool
@@ANewEvilRising If you want to know how to repair electronics you need a proper tools for electronics.
When I push play, head doesn’t move up touch the tape. How can I fix it?
The same brand and model in the video? Because this Sony TCS-60 the mechanisms are analog when you push play automatic the head goes up. In other hand digital has a soft touch buttons when you push play the head has a gear that drive upward to touch the tape.
@@Woodys_HobbiesThks for your supports. I'm using Beosound Century (the deck is made by Philips WT01 RER 5. I already changed new belts and cleaned. The motor does not spin. No gears broke. It probably due to Belt or motor?
@@Vjper82hn That is a digital controlled deck. Check the buttons if the contacts are good. Check motor if it has a B+ when you push play.
@@Woodys_Hobbiesthks. Im just an amateur user. You can see video, i already pushed TAPE button. I dont know contacts good or not. How to check it? The tape spin a little bit that you can see. You mean the TAPE button has many functions. Am i righ?
@@Vjper82hn The buttons has only one functions if it is PLAY then it is only play. By the way you said earlier that you replace belt right? Why you replace belt since this kind of unit is new? or is the belt in the right position?
