Story 1: I've been reading a bit about South Korea's cosmetic surgery culture. It's kind of a big deal for some people over there. Perhaps even more than you see in califonia, which itself has it's own toxic culture around that.
That's crazy. People from my country are obsessed with such toxic beauty all time everytime saw South Korean idols, mostly the youths. Many parents here concerned about that. I being natural beauty except I have broken nose bone between my eyes, I completely oppose such thing because this give negative gain. In my opinion, the surgery supposedly used on person who have life long facial injuries like I have, not for toxic beauty trend.
with the second story: the op needs to not only expose the entitled mother for encouraging her son to bullying a defenseless disabled girl, yet also the school for taking that bully's side for no reason, to the press, this should not be slept under the rug for crying out loud!
She should write a letter or call the little girl family and let them know she is demoted and sent to another location because she defended their daughter against a bully. That the bully is still there. And that the bully's mother is getting everything she asks from management.
Last one, I hard disagree with the narrator. It seems to me that the boyfriend is just embarrassed that he doesn't make as much money as his girlfriend and her family. For me, in my opinion, with the boyfriend that doesn’t wanna travel, I’ve only been to a handful of places I’ve been to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and and Tahoe and I’m from California and LA. And for me personally whenever my dad or family says hey we’re going on this trip do you wanna come? I’m excited cause I wanna see new places. I have seen the actual story on reddit, if I remember correctly, she offered him other roles on the wedding and he refused them. Plus, if OP doesn't see stepdad as his actual father, why should she be shamed into it? Ofc it's nice that he tries to be a father and OP thinks he's a nice man, she just doesn't see him as a father and that is more than understandable. I would never pay $2k to go to a wedding. I usually max out at $100 for a gift. It's a party you're throwing, why are you making friends and family pay? I could understand a destination wedding cost sharing but they can pay for their own accommodations.
By the way, not sure how may guest attended, but if it was only 100 guests that would be a $200k wedding, plus $20k tip. That's insane.
Regarding story 1: If my partner told me to get cosmetic surgery to fix my physical scars in such a bullshit way, I'd tell them something along the lines of "I'll do that when you pull your head out of your ass". Scars tell stories of survival. I have a surgical scar on my right middle finger from when I had to have two operations (within 24 hours of each other) to remove some infected tissue back in February of last year. I'm not covering that sucker up *FOR ANYBODY*

For me, in my opinion, with the boyfriend that doesn’t wanna travel, I’ve only been to a handful of places I’ve been to Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and and Tahoe and I’m from California and LA. And for me personally whenever my dad or family says hey we’re going on this trip do you wanna come? I’m excited cause I wanna see new places. But one thing is my dad‘s at a place we will never go because he likes hating on it which I find some messed up. Is Mexico and maybe for the original poster? Most stepdads would just either ignore or abuse their stepchildren, but OP's stepdad just wants to be involved

People may say otherwise, but here's the thing, she hasn't even tried to let him in emotionally, it's all tolerance and mental fortitude on her side of things, and her misunderstanding of him thinking he's trying to make it about him because of his friends is a bit of a reach, the a really long reach at that tbh, seeing as she completely cut him out of most of her life in general, he's asking for at least one thing to do, it's a milestone that you will be thinking about and how much her dad wasn't there, i would believe he would want her to be happy.

The last story about the boyfriend who doesn’t want to go on vacation. He’s the jerk. My son pulled this same stunt. His wife and her family were going on a cruise. He wouldn’t go. He had the paid time off and her parents said they’d pay for him to go. His now ex-father-in-law is his boss, so he knew how much he made. I don’t know what happened on that cruise, but he and his wife split up a few weeks after she got back. Pride can destroy.
