Great list. Is anyone else shocked that it took Hasbro until 2023 to release a Black Series Wicket Ewok figure? They made the Endor Leia back in 2020. The Endor Leia deserves a Wicket Ewok.
Padawan Ahsoka is just amazing. I hoped she was good. Then i opened the box. Blown away. Now we need a Clone Wars Anakin the ISNT A TARGET EXCLUSIVE for her to hang w on the shelf!!

The only Star Wars af that i have (i dont mean 80s toys) is the Dagobah Obi-Wan (spirit). It's freaking BEAUTIFUL! And so, i was excited to pick up the Dagobah Luke. Then I returned him before i opened him. His head was freakishly narrow. And then I was excited to pick up the Dagobah R2-D2. But before i put $ down on it, i came to realize that it was TOO BIG! WTF?! THE PAINT APPS LOOKED GOOD, TOO! BUT HOW CAN THEY NOW BE DOING THE SIZE CORRECTLY?!!😮😢
Just got the new Ahsoka and it's a really good figure. Now if only I could find a good Clone Wars era Anakin to go with her... (That's not $100, I mean.)
I love the Endor Rebel Commander, just need an expansion pack with four new face plates, double back pack, maybe a Trench Coat and a maybe a Rebel Rocket Launcher and sell for £15ish, you’ve got yourself a few new Endor Commanders. What do you guys think?
I would be 100% down to pick up more Endor Rebels, just need more variety like you said. Since their costume doesn't yield them as many customization options compared to the Hoth Rebel, they should've added more face plates, jacket, etc. -Justin
@@OutOfTheBasement I’ve got 5 of these so far, just bought a couple of new weapons, such as the Rebel bazooka and rotary cannon. Weapons both used by the rebellion. Gives a bit of variation. A couple of custom double back packs are needed. You can get custom face plates, but I’m not really a customiser. Hasbro should be all over this.
Great list! Definitely an embarrassment of riches for the Black series this year. My personal list in no particular order except for number 1: 1. Ahsoka Padawan 2. Malgus 3. Malak 4. Bastila Shan 5. Wicket 6. R2-D2 7. Dok Ondar 8. Scorch 9. Omega s2 (I think I’m the reverse of you guys where I just love the little babies) 10. Cal Kestis

In my opinion the best figure of the year is Darth Maul Clone Wars season 7, I don’t if that counts lol, but when I get the new Clone Wars Ahsoka that will probably become my fav, or the 501st Clone when I get that
Artoo! The full retooling is great and this is pretty much a must for any Star Wars fan, collector of any scale. I was just happy to have it. Sometimes, it is all that it takes. There is no conflict on this one.
It’s such a odd thing for Hasbro to release such new and different stuff with the legends figs, when we have a ton of other figures from the prequels we want first.

Hello Nate and Justin this is a great list of black series top 10 for 2023. I've never played KOTOR either but I had to get the figures from that game. I never knew who Revan was either but he's a Sith Lord and that's good enough reason to buy him. I'm also glad the Gaming Greats are coming to other stores and online sellers so we didn't have to pay the exclusive GameStop "tax" 😂. I would have probably had Duels End Vader on my list. I haven't thought of my list yet, but it would probably be really close to this. I'd include Krrsantan somewhere on mine despite the limited gun poses. A battle damaged Vader has been my number two most wanted fig even before the show. I felt the chances were low because he hadn't appeared like that in live action yet. Malgus has been number one for years, so it's a great year just for getting those two banged out. 501st Appo is near the top for sure. It lives up to the bar set by the 2020 stormtrooper. I love a well executed removable helmet

Fantastic list guys! Here’s mine, we have the same top ten but in a different order. I acknowledge I am heavily biased in favor of Legends characters, but like you guys, I value new characters above all else. 1. Darth Malgus 2. Darth Malak 3. Starkiller 4. R2-D2 5. Ahsoka Tano (Padawan) 6. Darth Maul (Old Master) 7. Dok Ondar 8. Clone Trooper (Phase II) 9. Old Man Rex (I mean Endor Rebel 😜) 10. Wicket Honorable mentions to Bastila Shan and Mara Jade. Didn’t feel right putting them on the list due to heavy reuse, but I love these Legends ladies and us EU fans absolutely needed them. I’ll say the same with Duel’s End Vader and RotJ Vader. I’d also like to mention the three new Luke figures (who I’m surprised you guys didn’t include!) and Cal Kestis. This year was frankly incredible for TBS. Best ever IMO, and next year looks primed to top it!

I absolutely love the new Luke and if I could've had a second honorable mention I would've said the 40th ROTJ Luke. The Endor Rebel should have been more available as an army builder. Great figure . Wicket seems cool, but he was so expensive for his size. I regret not picking him up, but I just could not justify the price. So cool he could hold the bow.

Great one guys, 2023 is a solid year for TBS. My top 10 is pretty much the same. Except I don’t own the new R2 or Starkiller yet, but General Hera, Krrsantan, Scorch and (I’m embarrassed to say this) Pre Vizsla are some of my favourites of the year as well
So I’m new to buying action figures. I just recently re watched episodes 1-9 and am now working my way through all the TV series. So far I’ve picked up Darth Vader, General Lando, Obi-Wan Kenobi, from the Tv series, also Boba Fett! I can’t wait to add more and I even picked up a stand to put them on! ❤❤

It was a good year but since I don’t collect video game stuff, the amount of releases there that came out this year drops it below 2020 as best year for the line for me. Happy for those that wanted that stuff though. HM. Tython ruins Boba - a January pickup. Of all the series of Fetts they did with this sculpt, this is my favorite. Paint apps are some of the best of the year 10. Magnaguard - yeah the shoulder pads are annoying. So what? These guys are so poseable. And very satisfying on shelf next to GG 09. Phase 2 clone - nearly perfect and would be much higher in the list if not for wonky face paint (those eyes) and matte finish armor 08. Krsaantaan - even as limited as he is, it’s still fun to pose such a bulky figure. Sculpt and paint are both really nice 07. Darth Vader (Duels End) - I just got the shf version and it’s the best 6” Vader figure hands down now, but this figure compares well in a number of ways 06. R2D2 - the built in storage is so nice to have. A little more paint detail and this would be top 3 for sure 05. Padawan Ahsoka - moves great. Looks great. Left hand has big trouble holding the saber due to the sculpt which knocks it down a few pegs. 04. Wicket - gram for gram the best ever figure in the black series? I can’t believe how much fun I’ve had posing this little guy around despite limitations 03. Endor Rebel Soldier - everything the black series is supposed to be. Moves great. Tremendous paint. High piece count. I’d pay $33 for every figure like this. 02. ROTJ Jedi Luke - really this is my 1B for the year. a huge upgrade in every way to the 2013 figure. Sculpt of Body proportions to ROTJ Hamil are perfect. One of the most poseable black series figures ever made. 01. Clone Wars Maul - got him on Jan 04 2023. I know he was technically a 22 release but I think most collectors did get him in 23. To this day I’ve never seen this figure in a store. Not much to say that hasn’t been said about it already. He and ROTJ Luke are the two figures that I grab off the shelf A LOT to just try one more pose…

When I held Malgus for the first time just felt so smooth streamlined, the shading of the Black and grey mwaaaa! I've never played the game but I know his story and who he is and always thought he was amazing, his story and image! Just a perfect chance to have a Sith and whom is a big MF! ALSO MY NUMBER 1 OF THE YEAR. I hadn't been that happy to run to my mail box since Return of the Jedi Bobba. Perfect choice guys! May the force be with you always
Anything in one of those plastic free Hasbro blind boxes was nothing but garbage , as a MOC collector those blind boxed figure are worthless to me , never touched a single one.. the real question is , when is Hasbro going to start rereleasing all those blind boxed figures in plastic window boxes ??? The Endor Rebel Trooper really was disappointing due to the price point, legs molded in tan, lack of accessory storage and lack of compatibility with the Hoth faceplates. Just not deserving of the deluxe price point

Cool top 10 figures of the year guys, my number 1 Black Series figure of the year is Darth Vader 'Revenge Of The Jedi', the sprinkle redness of Vader and the packaging box were cool.

It was a good year but since I don’t collect video game stuff, the amount of releases there that came out this year drops it below 2020 as best year for the line for me. Happy for those that wanted that stuff though.
HM. Tython ruins Boba - a January pickup. Of all the series of Fetts they did with this sculpt, this is my favorite. Paint apps are some of the best of the year
10. Magnaguard - yeah the shoulder pads are annoying. So what? These guys are so poseable. And very satisfying on shelf next to GG
09. Phase 2 clone - nearly perfect and would be much higher in the list if not for wonky face paint (those eyes) and matte finish armor
08. Krsaantaan - even as limited as he is, it’s still fun to pose such a bulky figure. Sculpt and paint are both really nice
07. Darth Vader (Duels End) - I just got the shf version and it’s the best 6” Vader figure hands down now, but this figure compares well in a number of ways
06. R2D2 - the built in storage is so nice to have. A little more paint detail and this would be top 3 for sure
05. Padawan Ahsoka - moves great. Looks great. Left hand has big trouble holding the saber due to the sculpt which knocks it down a few pegs.
04. Wicket - gram for gram the best ever figure in the black series? I can’t believe how much fun I’ve had posing this little guy around despite limitations
03. Endor Rebel Soldier - everything the black series is supposed to be. Moves great. Tremendous paint. High piece count. I’d pay $33 for every figure like this.
02. ROTJ Jedi Luke - really this is my 1B for the year. a huge upgrade in every way to the 2013 figure. Sculpt of Body proportions to ROTJ Hamil are perfect. One of the most poseable black series figures ever made.
01. Clone Wars Maul - got him on Jan 04 2023. I know he was technically a 22 release but I think most collectors did get him in 23. To this day I’ve never seen this figure in a store. Not much to say that hasn’t been said about it already. He and ROTJ Luke are the two figures that I grab off the shelf A LOT to just try one more pose…
I can appreciate the MagnaGuard defense! I think that was easily the most overhated figure of the year. Black Krrsantan and 40th ROTJ Luke were definitely in the conversation when making our Top 10. So much great stuff this year. Thanks for watching, Jhawk! -Justin

When I held Malgus for the first time just felt so smooth streamlined, the shading of the Black and grey mwaaaa! I've never played the game but I know his story and who he is and always thought he was amazing, his story and image! Just a perfect chance to have a Sith and whom is a big MF! ALSO MY NUMBER 1 OF THE YEAR. I hadn't been that happy to run to my mail box since Return of the Jedi Bobba. Perfect choice guys! May the force be with you always

Anything in one of those plastic free Hasbro blind boxes was nothing but garbage , as a MOC collector those blind boxed figure are worthless to me , never touched a single one.. the real question is , when is Hasbro going to start rereleasing all those blind boxed figures in plastic window boxes ??? The Endor Rebel Trooper really was disappointing due to the price point, legs molded in tan, lack of accessory storage and lack of compatibility with the Hoth faceplates. Just not deserving of the deluxe price point
