I absolutely LOVED watching Chris Gamble play. A speedy athletic freak that started on offense & defense and also returned punts and kickoffs. We need more Chris Gamble’s.
Great video but missed out on the obvious. Sean Taylor being stripped of the ball by Maurice Clarrett to save the game. Without that strip the U would have prevailed.
Really been a glorious twenty years for us Buckeye fans. All the names and talent and memories. Really amazing. How lucky are we? I mean, this list could go on and on, too.
Maurice Clarrett made The Play in modern Buckeye history, saving the National Championship by ripping the ball from Taylor immediately after his interception... cannot believe they could omit that awesome maneuver!
That championship team in 14 was probably one of the top 5 greatest college teams. What team could go to their 3rd string QB and win against Wisconsin 56-0 then beat Alabama then beat Oregon after Oregon smashed Florida state one of the best college football seasons ever
The Top college football team of all time was the 2011-2012 Alabama team. What a fucking defense. Literally most of the defense that year went into the NFL. And that offense was very good. AJ McCaron with running backs Trent Richardson, Eddie Lacy, and T.J. Yeldon. That team was the #1 college football team ever.
Obi i'm truly, truly amazed at how much Ohio State scares you. I see you on literally every single OSU video I watch, trolling and talking shit. you're clearly insecure about Ohio State no matter how much you try to pretend you're not :)
By far the best video I've ever watched. Better than Gone With The Wind, better than The Godfather 1 and 2, even better than Caddyshack. I'm grinning from ear to ear.
A couple of plays that could and should make this list. Noah Brown TD catch vs Oklahoma Ted Ginn jr 100 yard kick return TD vs Minnesota Ted Ginn jr reverse toss TD vs Notre Dame Braxton Miller juke TD vs Penn State
The catch by Evan Spencer on Ohio State's first drive against Alabama in 2015 was the best play I've ever seen a buckeye make. The refs didn't call it a catch, but it was.

Agree with many of the comments. The Noah Brown catch should have made it. Others: I always liked INT by the defensive lineman (forget the name) to cement the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas. There are a few great plays against K-State from the Fiesta Bowl in 2004, blocked punt TD, Santonio Holmes back of the endzone TD. The long touchdown runs against TTUN by Wells and Pittman in 2006 should have been in there as well. With that being said, always love the Buckeye highlight videos, great job!
I graduated '09, here are my favorites: 1) Ezekiel Elliot TD run on Alabama 2) Troy Smith to Gonzalez TD catch on UM 3) Cardale Jones to Devin Smith TD x3 on Wisconsin 4) Ezekiel Elliot TD run on Oregon 5) Braxton Miller spin move on VT
Just in terms of the balls that it took to pull that move off in a real game setting, the Braxton spin move against VT might've been the most impressive of them all.
Too many plays to include, i'm a hardcore Buckeye head and can remember several plays. Definitely not enough plays from THE Game, but just off the top of my head that I would have added . -- Nate Clements Punt Return vs Purdue 2000 - Jonathan Wells 4th Down TD Run vs scUM 2001 - Chris Vance One handed TD Grab vs Purdue 2001 - - Maurice Clarett trucks 2 Washington State defenders and keeps rolling - Darrion's Scott's *vicious* body slam of Washington State's Jason Gesser (how could that be left off?) - Maurice Clarett wheel route vs Michigan 2002 - late great Will Smith sacks Ken Dorsey with one arm on the 1st play of the NC game - Michael Jenkins 4th & 14 super clutch grab vs Miami in OT NC Game - Maurice Clarett rips ball from Sean Taylor NC Game - Will Allen goal line hit v s TA Mclendon NC State 2003 - Ted Ginn's 1st Career Punt return TD vs Wisconsin 2004 - Troy Smith to Santonio Holmes beautiful pass & catch under the lights in the shoe vs Texas 2005 - AJ Hawk interception vs Vince Young 2005 - Ted Ginn end around TD vs Notre Dame Fiesta - Troy Smith to Ted Ginn TD in Austin, TX 2006 - Beanie Wells spin move TD run vs scUM 2006 - Troy Smith play action fake TD pass to Ted Ginn 2006 (that's gotta be on here) - Terrelle Pryor pass to Devier Posey vs Iowa 2010 - Braxton Miller incredible redzone video game like TD vs PSU 2012 - Philly Brown punt return TD vs Nebraska 2012 - Kenny Guiton GW TD Pass in OT vs Purdue to save undefeated season 2012 WOW and i know i'm leaving out a lot of other significant plays that were either big time highlights or shaped ohio state's season. I know it's random but i'm pretty sure AJ Hawk's 1st sack came against Kent State in 2002 before that PSU game. But PROPS for not adding any music and leaving the original game sounds with these clips!
This is one of my favorite videos, wish we could get a higher quality version though with all the clips! Nonetheless great job on the video and go Bucks!
JT Barret is a level of crazy that most people don't achieve without PCP. He does it, while sober, while in school, while cramming in practice & studying for finals.
All were terrific plays that brought back memories. I think you have to be more specific than "top plays" to rank these. Maybe separate most spectacular and most important plays.
Nugent's kick vs. Marshall. Gamble's pick vs. Cincy. 4th & 1 play action to Beanie, deep pass. Definitely Clarrett's strip. How about Hawk's safety vs. Texas. Hooker's pick 6. Even Ward's explosive hit that was improperly penalized.
Good list but not sure how you missed the clarrett strip in the championship game against Miami. Probably one of the most pivotal plays in Ohio State history
JT Barrett was one of the best QB's to ever play for OSU I dont care what people say the dude was money( besides the Clemson game) still one of my favorites to ever wear the scarlet and red
Should have shown Zeke's run against Wisconsin in the B1G title game 2014 right before his run against Alabama in the playoff. Hell, throw his run against Oregon also in that order.
Love my BUCKEYES baby............i agree 110 percent. Clarett not being acknowledged after all he did and after all these years that's terrible. He was amazing. And if you're a BUCKEYE fan..we all agree.that was shitty how he was done but to not acknowledge him now boy oh boy. Makes u think.but the BUCKEYE are have been and always will be BAD ASS.
great video my my man. all I have to say is, first college football playoff. #4 the Ohio state buckeyes vs #1 Alabama...???whatever they are...ALABAMA WHO!!!!!
Billy George That's too much pressure and too controversial. 2001 to 2016 in my opinion. I also want to celebrate our amazing 14 to 2 record!!! Much better than Coopers 2-8-1 record!
Who is Cooper? I have no recollection of that name =x All I remember is Woody, Bruce, Tressel, and Urban. FYI 2016 we surpassed them in wins as conference members. Really puts into perspective their reliance on 19th century games to manufacture a history that just hasn't existed post-WWII.
I got an idea. U can post our upcoming video on 1 to 3 FB pages and ask people to state favorite their favorite Buckeye plays against TTUN. I have a few that aren't in this video also.

It’s a Buckeye video so I liked it. But not even close. Beanie had a minimum of 5 runs better than the hurdle. Clarett strip is one of the best plays in college football period. Braxton could have had 5 of the top 15 in there. Just totally missed on this one. And I could go on and on. I know some plays made your list by the game being very important but so many amazing plays left out. And so many plays on here where that player had many plays in there career that were better.
BIG TIME FUN......but I know why you didn't go back to 1998.......because Joe Germaine and his passing attack would have made up at least half of the 40 plays ! The last 20 years of JT, Braxton and Troy throwing the ball in the ground, behind the line of scrimmage or WAY TOO SHORT......really makes one appreciate a guy who could throw accurately 40-50 yards down field........
The LB had good coverage, good vision and excellent anticipation on the play but what I'd like to know is did Navy's quarterback not see the two defenders directly behind the guy who intercepted the ball? Terrible read (scratch that, there was no read) he literally just went threw the motions and did the exact same 4th down play most teams end practice with. Could have been more successful if he actually thought about what he'd do in that situation and practiced it with diligence more than three times, though I'm assuming Navy's QB foresaw an L by at least 30
Some of these plays are just good plays and not all time greats lol. Like Marcus Baugh hurdle? Beanie wells hurdle? Aj hawks first career sack? Doesn’t belong.
2012 ugh!!!! If only the buckeyes forfeited the previous years bowl game they would have played Notre Dame for the natty. And would have smoked em. Dammit lmao
Any "Top Plays" video of the Buckeye's that dosen't include Clarrett stripping the ball from Taylor, is clearly illegitimate, and nothing more than the poster's personal favorites.
"I wonder if there are any job openings in the American Conference? None of those teams are usually ranked". - Urban while staggering off the field after the Oklahoma beatdown 😂😂😂😂
I absolutely LOVED watching Chris Gamble play. A speedy athletic freak that started on offense & defense and also returned punts and kickoffs. We need more Chris Gamble’s.
I like that the first Elliot run vs Oregon is so good it made the list twice :)
Nate Puterbaugh noticed that too lol
I think the Elliot run vs. Alabama from the 2015 Sugar Bowl is in there twice too maybe.
The ballard catch is so underrated but Clarrett ripping Taylor shouldve been on here
GoBuckeyes554 that's the greatest fumble of all time. Like he snuck up on him, and all the sudden, he stripped it like a linebacker.
Clarett play is top 10 no doubt
fale stoery
No idea how that was left out
Thank
Great video but missed out on the obvious. Sean Taylor being stripped of the ball by Maurice Clarrett to save the game. Without that strip the U would have prevailed.

T JC There is not a comment on yt truer than yours.
Right. Omitting that one is a big ooops! Actually, Zeke's first TD vs Oregon in the Natty was in here twice. A good place to put Clarrett's strip.

I was so happy when Shazier forced that fumble. Was hearing from those dam announcers for 10 minutes. Monte Ball this Monte Ball that. It was great.
Ohio State is the greatest college football team of all time....period!!!!
That championship team in 14 was probably one of the top 5 greatest college teams. What team could go to their 3rd string QB and win against Wisconsin 56-0 then beat Alabama then beat Oregon after Oregon smashed Florida state one of the best college football seasons ever
It was 59-0
No other team could do that. Fact
Except Cardale a better qb than JT and would have won OSU another title had he stayed the starter.

Just a couple you forgot
Noah Brown behind the back catch
Malik Hooker one handed interception
Jalin Marshall punt return TD
85 yards through the heart of the south
By far the best video I've ever watched. Better than Gone With The Wind, better than The Godfather 1 and 2, even better than Caddyshack. I'm grinning from ear to ear.
I watch this to brighten my day. Proud Buckeye fan here.
That Thomas catch against Ala. was SICK.
A couple of plays that could and should make this list.
Noah Brown TD catch vs Oklahoma
Ted Ginn jr 100 yard kick return TD vs Minnesota
Ted Ginn jr reverse toss TD vs Notre Dame
Braxton Miller juke TD vs Penn State
Logan N. agree w all
Logan N. Iu
It happened in 2017...
Michael Dunson the Noah Brown TD was in 2016 at Oklahoma.
That Brian Rolle interception is one of my favorite plays. Loved him as a player and the 2008 to 2011 squads we had were probably my favorites
I like the 2004-2006 teams. Although 02-03 were two great years as well.
The catch by Evan Spencer on Ohio State's first drive against Alabama in 2015 was the best play I've ever seen a buckeye make. The refs didn't call it a catch, but it was.

"And planted him like a cheap flower" is still a great line. ;) 17:16
Love how the video quality in the 00’s changed so much.
WHAT I still loose sleep over is the 2006 championship game. Florida was not even close to us. Troy Smith was awesome.
Agree with many of the comments. The Noah Brown catch should have made it.
Others: I always liked INT by the defensive lineman (forget the name) to cement the Sugar Bowl against Arkansas.

There's NO WAY this can be in Order😂, and it's Missing a few CARDALE JONES Title Run & Ted Ginn Jr. Return TD Highlights.... but Overall Enjoyable.💯

1) Ezekiel Elliot TD run on Alabama
2) Troy Smith to Gonzalez TD catch on UM
3) Cardale Jones to Devin Smith TD x3 on Wisconsin

Awesome job compiling all of the footage!
Just in terms of the balls that it took to pull that move off in a real game setting, the Braxton spin move against VT might've been the most impressive of them all.
I couldn't agree more.
I don't know how many times I replayed that play.

Good job bro!!! awesome video I love my bucks.

All were terrific plays that brought back memories. I think you have to be more specific than "top plays" to rank these. Maybe separate most spectacular and most important plays.
Top 3 players were [For the Culture.] Braxton's spin move though was the dopest /hypest play in OSU history (if we ignore the significance).
Nugent's kick vs. Marshall. Gamble's pick vs. Cincy. 4th & 1 play action to Beanie, deep pass. Definitely Clarrett's strip. How about Hawk's safety vs. Texas. Hooker's pick 6. Even Ward's explosive hit that was improperly penalized.

Hell, throw his run against Oregon also in that order.
Great video man
thats great! I'll donate $10 if you make a 40 to 50 Top plays video against TTUN!
Love it!! Awesome! How many total hrs did you put it to this?
I would say it took about three or four total hours. Not TOO bad I guess

Quit complaining until you put a video together
The wife and I were in the south stands the day Brian Rolle intercepted the Navy conversion.
Ohio State will always have great plays-GO BUCKS....
Others will donate also. Just please get help and confirmation that you are truly getting the greatest and most memorable plays. 😁😁😁
Most memorable plays of all time in the rivalry?
Billy George That's too much pressure and too controversial. 2001 to 2016 in my opinion. I also want to celebrate our amazing 14 to 2 record!!! Much better than Coopers 2-8-1 record!
Who is Cooper? I have no recollection of that name =x

FYI 2016 we surpassed them in wins as conference members. Really puts into perspective their reliance on 19th century games to manufacture a history that just hasn't existed post-WWII.
Hey hey, I know Cooper couldn't beat TTUN, but he did run a good clean program.
You showed the Zeke run vs Oregon twice. You should have had Maurice Clarrett running back to strip the ball vs Miami on here...
I loved the video. But are you Marcus baugh’s cousin or something? 2 completely inconsequential plays on the list?
No Noah Brown vs Oklahoma catch?
I got an idea. U can post our upcoming video on 1 to 3 FB pages and ask people to state favorite their favorite Buckeye plays against TTUN. I have a few that aren't in this video also.
Holy Buckeye should be number 1. The strip is number 2, by a hair.
Lol if Marcus Baugh jumping to get 0.5 extra yards makes the list.....I have a feeling you forgot about a lot of plays.
Yall put that EZ E RUN on the twice
It is amazing how bad TV looked just 15 years ago.
It's the formatting. Uploading old video format into today's coding makes it look like VHS.
1 Cryami fan is still sulking.
I will never get tired seeing that Z. Boren sack. Or that Gonzo catch.
The shortest route between 2 points? Through a Penn State running back.
How do some of these guys get paid to broadcast lol...
"Buccaneers" ... uhhh...
The furor of Zbikowski almost catching Holmes. From the audio you'd think he fumbled ... Domer homers in the booth

Where was Claretts strip on Sean Taylor?
Cool video. Go bucks.
What I’ve learned from this entire video is I feel bad for Penn State lol
That god damn LSU title game. Complete melt down
When did we play Lsu sorry I’m young
Zeke's first TD against Oregon in the NC Game was indeed very nice, but it wasn't 2 plays
Some top 4000 OSU plays. There, I fixed it.
Only 39 plays Zelda first TD vs Oregon in there twice
