Great vid! I’m about to do this install but they didn’t send me the putty or the instructions with the gauge pod. Any idea what type of putty that is is what it’s called?
you all probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a way to get back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot the login password. I love any help you can offer me.
I saw the placement of the registration and inspection and reminded me of living in NY. It's a shame they make you dirty your windshield up with that stuff.
@@JR14Channel yeah the reason I wasn’t sure is because They don’t have a psi gauge in the infotainment like some GTIs have thank you for responding though too I love the channel!
Why do you need a gauge for the computer reading of psi? If there was a problem with that number in the computer you'd know via check-engine light. Actual manifold pressure gauges are useful because you know if there is some problem OTHER than what the computer knows about/is asking for. IDK, maybe I'm missing something, that's why I ask.
I actually use mine to make sure I'm staying out of boost before the oil gets up to operating temp (90C/194F). This car takes a long time to get up to temp (monitored on the dash driving data) and I don't want to have to keep switching the console off of Android Auto to monitor boost. So I bought this gauge to make sure I'm staying under 0 psi. I want this car to last a long time so I do this and keep the engine under 3-4k RPM, usually staying in D mode. It can take about almost 20 minutes on really cold days but I think it's worth it.
actually only on GTi performance package I believe and it's a hidden/WIP menu sooo the boost gauge isnt really accurate... fun thing tho I heard that on MK7.5 (2018+) the menu isnt even there anymore
+Danger_Ace sadly no I don’t think that they have the interface for it. But just to be sure, I would suggest that you contact them and ask. I maybe wrong.
P3 Multi Gauge is the best on the market. fits in the vent, looks oem af
Why would you want a boost gauge to look oem? Mind you, P3 literally displays everything
Russell P i personally like sleepers/ non rice, but thats just me
P3 doesn't show oil temp, how sad
Tethya Him my 7.5 shows oil temp already so the P3 is a go for me, ordered mine a week ago, I’ll let you know how it is
Can you tell specifically which product did you buy ? I am looking for the same product for my golf GTI. Thanks
Ordered the same pod... how did you get a drill in between the hole and the windshield to drill? Enough room?
to don't drill the hole there you drill it on the side after you take the plastic cover off much easier that way
i really like the apr boost gauge. very clean.
Color me stupid, but which of the Audi gauge PODS would fit a MK7 GTI? (There's no mention of VW on the Aeroforce website under the pods).
I don't think they make it anymore because after you comment on this, I went to the website myself and I didn't see it either. Odd
Great video, car is looking so good!

Hey JR14 do you know if these will work on a 1.8 as well?
It should but honestly I would totally recommend the P3 gauge!

Love the video but, too many damn ads for a 11 minute vid. 😑 lol
People gotta make money
Jr14.. how do you get the complete kid for the mk7.. the website sells everything seperatly
You would have to order it separately

Isn’t there a boost gauge in the cars system

ACKING_QC I have the base model mk7 gti 2017 and it’s there
ACKING_QC it’s not. I have one.
where did you get your carbon for the panel of media and transmission part?
Its wrapped with a carbon fiber vinyl
does this work on MK6?
+Danger_Ace sadly no I don’t think that they have the interface for it. But just to be sure, I would suggest that you contact them and ask. I maybe wrong.
If it’s a 2017 it should have a boost gauge you can access on the touchscreen
James Ray it’s not accurate
Hate the obd crap I hate giving up my sprint hotspot obd
Why didn’t you showed it how it works while driving? This was the purpose of the end of the video. Jeez..
Because there is a whole separate video of how to set it up as well the function of it 😂
Aaaah, good trick! I`m gonna watch that also then
Here I am!!! Really???🤣
