ADAM Audio was founded in March 1999 in Berlin. Since then the company has been developing, manufacturing and distributing loudspeakers in the field of Professional Audio.
The development of the X-ART (eXtended Accelerating Ribbon Technology) tweeter based on the 1960’s invention of the Air Motion Transformer by Oskar Heil was largely responsible for the company’s founding. Producing sound not with a piston-like diaphragm as is done in most of the loudspeakers that are on the market, but using a pleated diaphragm that is capable of moving the air 4 times faster than the folds themselves are moving was the appealing idea behind it all. The achieved results were intriguing and gave ample reason for moving forward.

Is there a device I can buy that can switch between voicings quickly rather than having to walk behind my speakers each time? Barefoot has that switch that comes with their speakers. I would like something similar for my A8H's.

How Is The Bass On Them?
Do I need a subwoofer with them ?
hello....I have a 10 x 10 studio where my desk and speakers are located. The speakers will be against one wall and facing the other wall 10 Ft away. . To the left of me is a 20 x 20 room where the studio gear is located but the speakers will always be in the 10 x 10 space. So wondering if I should go with A7H. A77H or A8H. I can only go by what you recommend as I have no way to test them. So just to be clear the 10 x 10 inch space has a 400 Ft open area to the left of my recording desk but the speakers will always be facing the wall in the 10 x 10 area. Thanks
Hi Bob! If you have a properly treated room (acoustically) you could use any monitor in theory, but we always say that the bigger the room, the bigger the speaker. For a small room we would recommend the A4V or A7V.
How we know about the which is left or right side ? Or it doesn’t matter ? 0:31

Hi! Unfortunately, the A8X is discontinued and not being produced anymore. But it would be possible to find some last units in some local dealers.

Would these be too big for a 11x10 room. I’m torn between these and the A7v with sub
Hi Isaac! The bigger the room the bigger the speaker. The A8Hs might be too much for a small room but if the room is well treated acoustically, they could work well as well ;)
