I want to avoid bringing this back as any sort of drama but I've just gotta say now that I saw this in my feed again and I've had time to rethink the situation, this is exactly why I don't think ownership of AUs like this should be a thing. If you have a hard time figuring out who first posted the concept, then clearly the concept is so widespread and accessible that many people have thought of doing it without ever hearing about the other takes, and as such really trying to say one person owns it based on date is rather trivial. Keno created StorySpin. This is undisputed BECAUSE he is clearly the first person who could've ever thought of those specific roles. PopcornPr1nce created UnderSwap. The same applies here. but combining the two? the second either of these aus existed simultaneously, many people may have thought of combining them. The creators themselves may have thought of combining them. Their friends who saw the au before it was posted may've thought of combining them. If I happened to rush out some low-effort song of papyrus as chara online before anyone else, it seems rather ridiculous to say that that gives me ownership. The reaction of the person in the clip shows that they're clearly completely unattached to the AU, they probably didn't even know anything about it except that combining the two would make papyrus take charas role, which would fit the remix they made. The reason Keno and PP are considered the creators is because all the people making aus by the same name will look at their aus to see what they are, meanwhile people like me, and assuming by your unique character designs, you, didn't really look too much into any other "swapspin" takes when designing our characters. There's nothing really to go off. As far as I know, before me no one even attempted any SwapSpin take with more than just a couple songs and a couple characters. I sure haven't seen any other SwapSpin take with a canon story made for it before mine. But yeah, imo that's like the first human to think of having mario crossover with sonic owns the entire concept. Obviously people thought of combining them, they're two similar concepts that work well together. You go around saying you own it just causes someone to find something earlier and then they claim ownership, then someone else finds something older and THEY claim ownership. It's just an endless game that's a huge waste of time when we could all just be not giving a crap and making our best takes on an underrated AU concept.
I made a spelling mistake.

i literally got confused with you and barfy owning swapspin while chatting with swapswappy and guess that confusion was a look into the future
They owned it days ago

Well ok then, neat. Anyways I have to find some AU's to own before you do.

Why not just have everyone make their own takes on au concepts and not worry about who is canon?
Just my opinion that you can’t own a au, but I don’t wanna cause drama so it’s just an opinion
So you actually dont own swapspin? Everything of your actings are fake? And the discord server of official swapspin who owns right now?
