I was a child when this song came out in the nativity movie. I remember it feeling so powerful even then. Now in my twenties I come back to it every Christmas and think back to those days, and how wonderful they were. I had absolutely no clue then but those years were the simplest, happiest, care free years of my life. I can’t go back of course, but for a brief moment or so this song takes me back to my old primary school assembly hall, with all my old friends. Sometimes when I listen to this song I think that somewhere in time and space we might all still be there, smiling, singing, basking in our innocence. Some of those children are now parents, some have been to prison, some have even passed. So much has changed and yet when I listen to this song, it’s like nothing ever did.

I loved Hayley Westenra particularly as a 15 year old, and her as part of Celtic Women. Am recently a new primary school teacher, watched Nativity! for the first time this year and loved the film! @Gacha Jam cool my birthday is on the 18 of December and we have Christmas dinner at school and we also have Christmas jumper day and then are carol service on the 19 of December and we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve and are birthday on Christmas Eve and my sister's birth is after Christmas . We all do are birthday on Christmas Eve my mum said I can have 2 presents when I come from school.I have alot going on my birthday.
