Emergency Lesnar replacement
Bron Breakker was confirmed to be Brock Lesnar's replacement.
No, but sort of. Bron moved into Lesnar's spot, McAfee took Bron's.
Can't just slot someone in where someone like Brock would've been in the match without rebooking the entire match.
Bron does Lesnar's clear the ring and stare down with Omos spots, then Pat fills Bron's spot to tie everything up without making an active wrestler look like a geek or rebook the whole thing.

What I read was that Pat was never told that he was gonna be in the rumble match. They did that as one big surprise for Pat.

I also think he was thrown in because Brock was supposed to be in that spot to face off with Omos and Breaker (and likely be eliminated by Bron not Dom as is being reported) but they said get in look scared and just get out to burn some time.
