This is fantastic! I'm not very familiar with RC car racing, but I do a lot of sim racing so this popped up in my feed. I had no idea people did such long endurance races with RC cars. Cheers to all those who participated from Connecticut, US!

If you know of any AC mods I should check out, I'd appreciate the suggestions.

And of course, the "starter" was quick on his feet and precise with his hands. It clearly looked like a team that had practiced this. Was a joy to watch! Thank you for the video.
@@daszieher during the night, one of the driver (a former TT1/8 World Champion and multi-Large scale champion), has done a mistake at the end of the straight line and crush the car against a pylon. He destroyed the car and the electrical system of the circuit for 2hours after 6h of racing 😄

You have the choice between polycarbonate or ABS bodies, PC are fully transparent and ABS are tinted. For a nice body fully painted like those in the video, the better choice is to find a good painter!

In fact you can have several remotes for one car because not everybody is righthanded :) (like me). And yes you have to change batteries for the remote and for the car too. For such big cars, you need very powerfull servomotors which drink a lot of electrons

@@kolysion164 ces carrosseries n'existent pas au 1/4 à ma connaissance: une carrosserie 1/4 coûte entre 200 et 250€ moyenne et il faut ajouter 150€ de peinture: c'est un budget une carrosserie de cette taille
@@RowhiderRCRacing I believe you mistook me for asking what kind of drive these cars have. I was asking what kind of steering do they have. I'm pretty sure I saw rear wheel steering components on the car that was serviced and also some of the cars on track doing extremely sharp turns impossible with conventional steering. So, am I mistaken or can the rear wheels on the cars be steered (to turn left or right)?

What you have seen as a steering system is a device used to adujst the rear toe like on a true racingcar. Generally you will adjust the chassis with 1 to 2° of rear toe and 0° to -2° at the front

Those cars seem a bit small for 1/4 scale, maybe 1/5 scale? I'm building a fleet of vehicles for arrive-and-drive rc-racing, and they are about 2 ft wide and 4 ft long. I don't know whether to call them 1/3 scale or 1/4 scale.
No sorry: 1/4 scale is 1/4 scale and not 1/5... 1/5 scale cars are much smaller. The wheelbase of the white BMW GTR is 640mm against 535mm for 1/5 scale cars. I don't know what kind of cars you take in referrence for your 1/4 scale but if you find those small it should be trucks

Whats hard about this then? they all have petrol engines not glow engines to keep running for 12 hours. its to easy all you gotta do is stay awake for 12 hours, the petrol engine will run indefinately if you give it fuel and air. simples.
Did you ever try to race these kind of cars for 1h? It's very tiring. Its very hard to go fast without making any mistake: in 2022, the leader was a former IFMAR World champion but destroyed its car because of a single mistake after about 6h of race
Poorly is a bit hard but you have to know that there is no modern tyres like for the fifth scale for fourth scale cars, so the grip is more limited. Moreofthat only one set of tyres is authorized for this 12h race: so you cannot put the softest.
If you not pratrice ..... You will not understand....😅. The set up of car its the same on race car. If you don't like motor sport, don't look 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️

It has already be done with third scale LMP cars (a specificaly developped for). But you need a very fast Electronic transmission system: racing a car on a circuit (in race condition) need more responsive reaction that the average fpv drone system. So as very costly in the end the project has been forsaken

Oui bien sûr tu as des freins, en général tu as soit un mono frein à disque mécanique ou des freins à disques hydrauliques comme sur une vraie voiture

In average, 3 pilots per car but you can go from 2 to 5. A single pilot is by far too hard for 12h of driving
Why don't you guys use FPV glasses? I think it would make it so much more immersive.

Those are exactly 1/4 scale: to homologate a car in 1/4th scale racing you have to respect the true scale for wheelbase, width...
